PSA for anyone with an Intel Wireless AC 9000 series card.
For anyone whose computers use any of the following Wi-FI cards (list may not be exhaustive):
Intel® Wireless-AC 9462
Intel® Wireless-AC 9461
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 Industrial IoT Kit
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 Embedded IoT Kit
Intel® Wireless-AC 9260
Intel® Wireless-AC 9560
If your computer, with any of these cards, is having trouble staying connected to the internet (e.g. you keep getting disconnected and reconnected), your Wi-Fi driver may be configured incorrectly.
So BEFORE you mess with your BIOS, replace your Wi-Fi card or scream at Intel to update their shit, DO THE FOLLOWING FIRST:
Open Device Manager
Expand Network Adapters and select your Intel Wi-Fi card.
Right-click it, then click Properties
Navigate to the Advanced tab, then do the following:
Then click OK to save your changes.
And you're done! The adaptor will reset one last time before maintaining a solid and constant connection to the internet.
DISCLAIMER: This will not work in 100% of all cases. But you should still do this first before moving on to more risky or expensive solutions, such as replacing your Wi-Fi card or updating/rolling back the BIOS (both of which were suggested solutions to this problem).
This PSA comes from here and actually saved me from my Wi-Fi driver constantly resetting. But once again, it may not work for everyone.
