yallo its ya girl citrus does anyone know how to fix my very oddly specific tablet pressure issue thats only started since the latest wacom driver update? i use an intuos pro, the driver is version 6.3.40-2

occasionally at the start of a stroke the pressure will absolutely wig out. sometimes its too much pressure and sometimes too little, and it feels like the tablet just struggles to recognize the pen even though i dont change how im doing the strokes. i tried reinstalling the driver, i tried replacing the nib (which needed replacing anyway), and i tried replacing the tablet screen since that was scratched to all hell with a new screen but it did nothing.

its such a small nuisance but its VERY annoying and it wasn’t present before! id appreciate any advice!

Just a lil note, becus I installed my second monitor yesterday and had some trouble with my SAI afterwards!

I had the problem, that the pen crusor was working fine but the line appeared inches next to where I touched the screen! In case you have this problem too, fix it this way:

Select this in the options, and it will draw where you actually touch it again!

My second problem was, that it seems to “freeze” whenever I clicked “open” or “save” in the “file” option. BUT It actually DID NOT freeze. Don´t freak out if this happens!! Stay calm and click “esc” your SAI didn´t cracked the window is just on your secon monitor. But don´t waste timne searching it, you won´t see it (I don´t know why tho...) Instead, read THIS and try it out.

So just switch your monitors and save it. Then click the “open” or “save...” icon again and BOOM it appears on your other desktop. Now you can move it over and switch the monitors back (:

Don´t waste time on trying to reinstall your SAI or randomly turning your PC on and of like I did. I hope this might help some people (:

So In case no one knows these methods with Wacom tablet

You know those moments “I’m ready to draw!” but your tablet says “HAH NAH MAN” in other words it lags?

So here are two methods you can use so you don’t have to restart your computer and wait.

Warning!! Long post!!

1. Search on your computer for “Tablet Preference File Utility”

Should look like this

Once you open this, disconnect your tablet from your computer and all drawing programs are closed.

The second step is to click Remove under All Use Preferences! Don’t close the window, let it close on its own!

When it closes, connect your tablet and open your preferred drawing program !

If that does not work, THEN OFF TO NEXT METHOD!

Close the drawing program again, but you don’t have to disconnect your tablet this time!

Go back to search on your computer and type in

“View Local Services”

What the window looks like 

Scroll all the way down until you find :

Go over to Stop, and click it. DON’T CLOSE OUT OF THIS WINDOW YET!

Search for Task Manager now (I keep this pinned on the bar along with Tablet Preference File Utility)

Click “More details”

and look for these

Click one at a time (since you can’t highlight them all at once //sobs) and end task for each of them. 

Open View Local Service again and click Start for Wacom Professional, after this you can close those windows and your tablet should be working again!

I personally use Method 2 more but sometimes the tablet really just needs these two together ehehe ;;

New Windows Update has screwed my tablet !!!!

After a minor windows update, it has completely fucked my tablet.

Whenever I try to draw it thinks its using the scroll tool, so i can’t draw anything. I’ve unchecked the “Use Windows Ink” in the Wacom Properties, while it fixes the scroll issue, it completely gets rid of any pen pressure.

If anybody has any help on how to fix this I will be very appreciative! I’m fuming, after each windows update I’ve had numerous issues with my tablet and Photoshop, and I can’t roll back to a previous time for some reason either.

So I can’t draw anything digital at all until this has been sorted out. Whoever is in charge of rolling out the windows updates I swear I will find you and punch you in the face, and throw you out of a literal window. Stop fucking with my computer.

Anyone else having this issue with their wacom intuos (or any) tablet on sai ????? Because mine has constantly been doing this for months & I can’t find a way to permanently stop it and it’s really really annoying me

Drawing tablet question

I just got a basic Wacom Intuos and I’m trying to decide what software to use with it. Can anyone recommend (free) drawing software to use for a beginner/hobbyist interested in cartooning? Is the software bundle that Wacom offers any good? And tell me why you like that particular software.

ANYONE KNOW HOW TO HELP ME WITH MY CINTIQ?

It was working fine earlier, but then my computer crashed. When I booted my computer back up, I couldn't log in without unplugging my cintiq. When I did log in and plug my cintiq back in, the tablet pen wasn't working, but my mouse would move around. My mouse couldn't click, though. What's happening???

i don't know what's wrong with my tablet but i'm so upset that it keeps making these "scythe" lines when i try to draw a line.

i feel like this happens because the pen still draws even when i lift up the pen. i don't lift it very much. does ANYONE have a solution?
