Gengi-Soo “Genesis” Yuna Foxmangjeolko, better known publicly as Genesis Fox, was born in Calyoiana, Japan to Junpei Yo Fox and Seoyeon Ssanghwa Fox (née Im). She is the only child between the two. Although her parents lived fairly ordinary public lives, one by choice and the other by intentionally downplaying her own talents and family prestige, Genesis would eventually become the person who revived both family legacies through her own success.
As a child, Genesis had a warm and lively upbringing despite her parents’ busy schedules. Junpei often took her to late-night food stalls, watched old television reruns with her, and constantly made bad jokes to make her laugh. Seoyeon would style her hair, help her practice speaking clearly, and teach her about beauty, presentation, and etiquette from a young age. Whenever possible, the three spent time together going to arcades, karaoke bars, movie theaters, and entertainment districts throughout Calyoiana. Those moments became some of Genesis’ fondest memories.
However, as work slowly consumed more of their lives, Seoyeon began relying heavily on her older brother, Yehjin Namgung Im, to babysit Genesis while they were away.
Unfortunately, Yehjin was abusive.
Although respectable around others, he was emotionally volatile, verbally cruel, and occasionally physical toward Genesis. Much of his resentment stemmed from Junpei and the fact that he had distanced himself from certain expectations tied to the family legacy. Genesis became an easy target for that bitterness. Yehjin constantly criticized her appearance, mocked her dreams, and blamed her for minor inconveniences. Terrified of burdening her exhausted parents, Genesis stayed silent and instead turned to television for comfort.
Television became her escape.
Genesis grew attached to cartoons, sitcoms, variety programs, dramas, and talk shows. She admired how television personalities could instantly brighten a room and make viewers feel less alone. Even as a child, she unconsciously copied speech patterns, expressions, comedic timing, and emotional delivery from the people she watched on screen. She also became unusually observant of human behavior and emotions, which later contributed heavily to both her talent and personality.
When she was around seven or eight years old, Genesis experienced her first exposure to show business after Junpei won tickets to a popular family variety game show called Lucky Spotlight Live!. Originally audience members, the Fox family became last-minute contestants due to production issues. Against all odds, they ended up winning the entire season.
Genesis adored every second of it.
The lights, cameras, crowds, backstage chaos, and excitement fascinated her completely. It was one of the last major happy moments the family shared together before life became increasingly distant and busy.
A few years later, during one particularly awful night with Yehjin, Genesis finally snapped.
After enduring hours of verbal abuse, she sat watching one of her favorite comfort programs, Gigi’s Galaxy Adventure!, a cheerful educational series that encouraged children to be brave and stand up for themselves. Emotional, frightened, and overwhelmed, Genesis took the lesson too literally. When Yehjin woke up and resumed berating her, she grabbed a nearby frying pan and struck him in the head, killing him instantly.
When Junpei and Seoyeon returned home, they found their daughter in shock beside Yehjin’s body. Horrified but understanding the situation, Seoyeon immediately focused on comforting Genesis while Junpei handled the legal aftermath. Through evidence, influence, and personal sacrifice, Junpei managed to frame the incident as self-defense, though it severely damaged parts of his relationship with his own family. Assistance from Onaga Junnosuke also helped settle matters quietly.
Afterward, Genesis was placed into therapy and later diagnosed with both Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD) and Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). Her parents took her treatment seriously and became far more attentive to her emotional well-being afterward.
Genesis attended Cinematique Academy for Arts and Public Presence from kindergarten through high school. While never academically exceptional, she excelled in performative arts, public speaking, literature, media studies, and psychology-related sciences. Teachers often described her as highly perceptive, emotionally intelligent, and naturally charismatic.
During late elementary and middle school, she developed braces due to her prominent chipmunk-like teeth, which unfortunately became a source of bullying. At one point, Genesis became so insecure about her smile that she intentionally hid her teeth for nearly an entire school year whenever she laughed.
Despite years of playing background roles in school productions, Genesis loved performing. Even if her parents occasionally missed performances because of work, she tried to understand. Deep down, however, she desperately wanted to be acknowledged.
Everything changed during her first year of high school when she was forced to replace the lead actress in a major drama production. Through sheer improvisation, adaptability, and emotional delivery, Genesis unexpectedly stole the spotlight. From there, her rise to fame happened frighteningly fast.
By fourteen, she had won the Golden Starlet Award. By sixteen, she became the youngest recurring host affiliated with the fourth channel of the Calyoiana Broadcasting System and worked as both a special correspondent and television host. Around this time, she likely crossed paths with Student 1.13 - 13A Lorelei Vivienne (T)Sunder, the Ultimate Actress, through overlapping work in entertainment. She may have also met Student 1.3 - 3A Brooke Elise Vanbelle after Brooke transferred to Cinematique Academy during high school.
Although therapy and time helped Genesis improve, the overwhelming attention and praise worsened some unhealthy tendencies connected to her disorders. She became increasingly dependent on validation and audience approval. Genesis learned how to mirror emotions, adapt herself to different people, and effortlessly charm almost anyone she met. While she can be warm, funny, supportive, and emotionally insightful, she can also be manipulative, invasive, impulsive, dramatic, and attention-seeking.
Genesis is energetic, theatrical, witty, and highly social. She hates prolonged silence and constantly hums theme songs under her breath, practices introductions in mirrors, and narrates situations like television segments. She enjoys old sitcoms, game shows, celebrity gossip, makeup artistry, psychology books, fashion, scriptwriting, collecting vintage DVDs, and binge-watching documentaries late into the night.
Despite her flaws, Genesis is not heartless. Beneath the glamor and performance is an incredibly lonely girl terrified of becoming irrelevant or forgotten. More than anything, she wants to be genuinely loved rather than simply consumed as entertainment.
Conduit Horizons University originally showed interest in Genesis because of her family legacy, but she refused to rely solely on her surname. Instead, she completed extensive testing, entrance exams, and public showcases at one of Calyoiana’s largest expos, impressing influential council members such as Noor Rahman, Clara Voss, Hiroto Kanzaki, and Victor Moreau before being accepted through her own efforts.
Genesis presents herself as playful, charming, and impossible to ignore. She enjoys teasing others, stirring tension for entertainment, and keeping herself at the center of attention. However, beneath all the theatrics is someone deeply fascinated by human emotion and psychology, which is one of the reasons she became especially interested in Student 1.1 - 1A Yahira “Yaya” Ai Colette (Redacted), the Ultimate Therapist.
To Genesis, Yahira represented something she could never fully understand herself.

Genesis dreams of becoming one of the most beloved and unforgettable entertainers in history. At the same time, one of her greatest fears is that someday people will stop watching, stop caring, and move on without remembering her at all.
Genesis comes from the Fox and Im branches.
Junpei Yo Fox was born in Calyoiana, Japan to Geats Mononoke Fox and Trini Heather Fox (née Bakegawa). He is the youngest of nine children and has four older brothers, Atsu Kagenoriu Fox, Etsu Reihaku Fox, Itsu Mizoru Fox, and Otsu Yukiharu Fox, alongside four older sisters, Ane Tsukihana Fox, Ene Hoshika Fox, Ine Shiorika Fox, and One Ritsuka Fox. Junpei had warm tan-beige skin, ginger hair, a beauty mark beneath his eye, and soft coal-colored eyes. Because the number nine was viewed as unlucky in parts of the family, his naming structure differed from his siblings.
The Fox family was famous throughout Calyoiana for producing generations of artistic prodigies and cultural icons. Rather than using the term “Ultimate,” the family instead referred to exceptional talents as “Maestros.” Junpei’s father, Geats, was especially renowned as the “Maestro of Words,” a legendary playwright and scriptwriter whose works heavily shaped Calyoianan media.
Unlike the rest of his charismatic and ambitious family, Junpei was quiet, withdrawn, and uninterested in fame. He attended Vermillion Crescent Academy, an elite school filled with talented socialites and future public figures, but rarely stood out despite his good looks. Instead, he spent most of his time reading, volunteering, and helping others. Although the Fox family never outright mistreated him, Junpei constantly dealt with subtle comparisons and backhanded reminders that he would never live up to his father’s reputation. Only his mother truly supported his desire for a quieter, more ordinary life.
After graduation, Junpei planned to leave Calyoiana entirely and move to America. However, before he could leave, he met Seoyeon Ssanghwa Im after she accidentally walked face-first into a street sign while staring at him near the boardwalk. Despite barely sharing a language, the two immediately connected. Junpei only spoke Japanese and English while Seoyeon mainly spoke Korean, yet they somehow communicated through gestures and persistence. Junpei offered her a place to stay, eventually abandoning his dream of leaving in favor of staying beside her.
Over time, the two taught each other their languages while bonding through quiet nights exploring Calyoiana’s cafés, bookstores, arcades, and entertainment districts. Eventually, the Fox family learned Junpei intended to marry into the Im family. Geats surprisingly approved, believing the union between both families would eventually produce an extraordinary grandchild.
Not long after their marriage, the couple welcomed Gengi-Soo “Genesis” Yuna Foxmangjeolko.
As a father, Junpei was gentle, patient, and emotionally attentive. He rarely raised his voice and preferred talking through problems rather than punishing his daughter. From him, Genesis inherited her humor, warmth, theatrical instincts, emotional sensitivity, natural charm, and expressive speaking patterns. She also inherited his tendency to bottle up emotions and avoid confrontation until things became overwhelming.
Overall, Junpei was a soft-spoken and compassionate man who never desired greatness for himself, yet still raised someone destined to stand beneath the spotlight.
Seoyeon Ssanghwa Fox (née Im) was born in Gwangju, South Korea, to Moon Junseok Im and Eunseo Bae Im (née Hyelin). She is the oldest of five children and has three younger sisters, Sarang Jieun Im, Arin Yejoo Im, and Dami Narin Im, alongside her younger brother, Yehjin Siho Im. Seoyeon had mellow golden skin, long curly obsidian hair, large almond-shaped eyes, and dark amber eyes that almost appeared red beneath bright lights. She was known for her expressive face, graceful appearance, and natural beauty, and most importantly, being a huge K-drama fanatic.
As a child, Seoyeon displayed immense talent in acting, mimicry, emotional expression, and voice work. Ironically, despite her overwhelming skill, her parents intentionally suppressed her abilities out of fear that too much public attention would drag her into circles tied to Ultimates and public expectations. The more they tried to keep her hidden, however, the more obvious her talent became to everyone around her. Because of this, Seoyeon grew up doubting herself despite consistently drawing attention naturally.
She attended Donghae Preparatory Institute and performed well academically and socially, though she was notoriously clumsy and somewhat emotionally scattered. As a teenager, Yehjin illegally found a way into Calyoiana and convinced Seoyeon to accompany him. Part of her reason for leaving South Korea came from wanting freedom from her family’s restrictions and finally discovering who she was outside of everyone else’s expectations.
Once she arrived in Calyoiana, Seoyeon flourished. She loved the city’s nightlife, entertainment culture, shopping districts, and endless energy. While juggling various small acting and promotional gigs, she also earned certifications in corporate administration and international communications.
Unfortunately, stable housing was difficult to find. One morning while rushing to a job interview, Seoyeon became distracted staring at a handsome young man near the boardwalk and accidentally walked directly into a street sign.
That man was Junpei Yo Fox.
Despite the language barrier, the two immediately fell for each other. Junpei offered her a place to stay, taught her how to navigate Calyoiana, and helped her improve her Japanese and English. In return, Seoyeon taught him Korean and slowly pushed him out of his shell socially. The two bonded quickly through shared insecurities, dreams, and late-night conversations before eventually marrying.
Seoyeon later secured a stable office position at Polaris Meridian Group, a corporation specializing in media distribution, advertising, and public relations. Roughly two years after their marriage, she gave birth to Genesis.
As a mother, Seoyeon was affectionate, expressive, and highly protective. She encouraged Genesis to speak confidently, express herself openly, and embrace creativity. From Seoyeon, Genesis inherited her stage presence, emotional adaptability, beauty, voice control, dramatic personality, and fascination with performance. She also inherited some of Seoyeon’s impulsiveness, emotional instability, and fear of being ignored or controlled.
Overall, Seoyeon was a vibrant and emotionally layered woman who spent much of her own life being told to hide herself, only for her daughter to become someone impossible for the world to ignore.
History of developing this character:
Back in February 2021 after binging a bunch of Danganronpa. I realized that A LOT of the canonical characters need well a Therapist. Of course with that being said: I HAD NO CLUE WHAT CAST YAHIRA SHOULD BE IN! Then I decided: "Nah, let's make a whole new cast, but put them in college!"
Ok if Yahira is the protag... where's everyone else... I NEEDED MORE ULTIMATES. So I came up with 23 others. As for Genesis':
I wanted something spunky. Something loud, something chaotic and fun! And I thought a TV Personality fit all three! (Plus it sounds like a broad one, meaning I can do a lot literally with it. We love versatility.
I dunno why, but for her, I wanted to do a Japanese-Korean lady. No reason, I just know a lot of game shows over in Japan are quite over the top. Reality TV as a whole is quite over the top, so why not make a character that is over the top as those things are! And so she was created on those principles!
Genesis just seems like a nice name to give someone who is in this role, and she has the orange hair that fades to... a peachy blonde...? Like a Fox's tail was a great choice.
However, just like with Dante, I was...a bit lost on the direction... You'll see what I mean by that in a sec, but first... MOODBOARD TIME!
And all of these inspos and stuff from the moodboard became this! Back in February of 2021.

I like the buns and her eyes.... I uh yeah. As you can see, I did struggle a bit. I at least had a color identity with her, just not an aesthetic yet.
This was the other design where I just didn't have any direction so I asked a good ol friend of mines. (He actually helped me redo students 22-24.)
And honestly, I like this so yeah! I feel like this fits her more than... You know... What I did gave her. Of course, I drew her a few more times to tighten it up.
So my current rendition (The one at the beginning of this post might be the latest one I'll keep because I like keeping the ribbons with her, and I took more inspiration from the design my good friendo did.
Uhm not too much to say, but hopefully I'll get closer and closer. I think I do have more a solid idea for her originally than Dante's, but she feels like the one I am nitpicking now, but hopefully I'll get it.
