・You were no knight, nor experienced fighter. You didn't come from an affluent House, nor did your family flourish.
・However, you had pledged yourself to Dany that very morning. Vowing to follow her, to abide by her, to protect her.
・You took those vows seriously, because you loved your queen. You believed in her.
・And then there was an attack.
・The Khalasar and Unsullied were fighting off the head-on raids, which were many.
・The dragons had gotten too large for their cages. So, they were untethered but guarding their mother.
・You stood in front of them, wielding a dagger. Waiting for the enemy too open the door.
・But you weren't scared. You felt a sort of ... righteous anger. You wanted to face the enemy. You wanted to unleash this feeling inside.
・Dany had her own weapon too, when three of them actually. She felt confident with them here, beside her.
・She looked at you with such gentle love. And when you turned to her, you settled into your stance and said, "I'm never going to let anyone hurt you, my queen."
・Footsteps rushed the stairs, up up up, they went; getting closer and closer.
・You swallowed your fear and looked back at Dany, her wide eyes mirrored your own.
・Drogon roared, flappy his wings, getting ready for the fight. Rhaegal snarled and Viserion hissed. All still close to their mother.
・When the door opened, and you saw the enemy, you thought your heart was going to stop.
・But you held your ground, grasp tightened, and waited for the man to get closer.
・When he was close, you checked your balance and swiped. You caught him off guard.
"Dracarys!" Dany demanded from her dragons, just as another three men entered the chambers.
・You ducked as the three dragons aimed and roared with fire. The room became so, very hot and the men began to scream.
・Daenerys leapt forward and gathered your hand in hers. She pulled you behind the settee and still held onto your hand as the men lay burning.
・The dragons flew back towards you and Dany, they perched and waited. But now knew you were someone to defend.
drogon doesn't treat life as "alive" and "dead", rather he treats it as 'heated' and 'cold. because dragons themselves generally radiate heat, if something is "hot" they are alive and healthy, if something is "cold" they are dead or unhealthy
(therefore, because a human is less physically hot than a dragon, drogon considers them to be unhealthy and weak)
drogon is the youngest of his brothers (viserion and rhaegal), however, he is the most protective, often being the one to comfort or secure the area. he considers himself the 'protector' of his family because he's the biggest
during extreme moments of anger, drogon's flame slowly starts to turn white, and because he's still quite young and his scales and body have not fully matured, white flames actually burn his throat and cause him to bleed slightly
drogon is very careful around his brothers and daenerys (mother), but when he's alone he essentially abandons any caution and foregoes any kind of concern about his own safety
he doesn't recognise people via name or even really looks, but rather by who they are in relation to his daenerys, and what they smell like
suppresses all of his childish habits for being completely alone (or around his brothers), because daenerys needed a serious dragon to help her claim... whatever the metal seat was supposed to be
refers to snow as "cold" and ice as "freezing"
remembers everywhere he has been and knows his way to "important" places to dragons, targaryens etc.
[Maybe spoilers below this point?]
drogon grieved after viserion's death and was comforted by rhaegal (who was angry at himself and almost every person who had been in the area)
if daenerys hadn't been with him when rhaegal died, he would've dived to catch his brother, and if he'd failed, he wouldn't have pulled away from the iron fleet's scorpion bolts and would've destroyed them at that moment
he was completely prepared to essentially go straight for the castle and burn it to the ground, and he would've completely ignored the city if daenerys hadn't wanted them to burn
drogon 100% would've returned to where his brothers died in attempts to retrieve their bodies if he had the time too
returned to old valyria with daenerys body in an attempt to try and "make her warm again", and after trying and failing he basically goes on a revenge adventure and burns every place he remembers going (and every place in between) out of anger
as he arrives at kings landing (minimum 2 years after it was originally destroyed), he spends a couple of moments diving into the waters around the castle and trying to find rhaegal's body
does the same after destroying aspects of the wall, venturing into the cold and trying to find viserion's body (even though it was completely destroyed)
after failing to find his brother's body and returning to old valyria, leaving nothing but carnage and destruction behind him, he lets himself finally cry and disappears from the world for... an amount of time
if he ever leaves old valyria, he's considerably less aggressive and murderous, instead doing his own thing and living his life
if you're interested in a fic that shows drogon's perspective (kind of) about viserion's, rhaegal's and daenerys deaths, there's this fic here
a/n: this is a long post, it also includes what the eggs look like, their names and the reaction to the eggs. Also how it affects the plot...

𖤓 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃: a clutch can have 3-5 eggs in it.
Viserion, had been absent for a while now, and Dany was getting worried. Where was he? With so much happening and enemies seemingly surrounding her, she wanted to make sure Viserion was okay. And he had been acting differently...So, she climbed atop Drogon and they went looking.
・Viserion had always been affectionate; the most affectionate out of the three dragons.
・Dany always thought of him as a 'mama's boy,' but as she flew over mountain, sea and sand, she finally realised.
・Viserion was not a 'he' afterall.
・Drogon and Dany watched as Viserion huddled against a mound.
・To anyone else, it looked like a pile of rock, but as Dany got closer, she saw the clutch.
・It wasn't overally large, so Dany guessed there were three. Three eggs. Just like the ones she was gifted all those years ago.
・Drogon landed, in Viserion's eyesight; a respectful distance. Physically telling Viserion that he was not there to dominate.
・Dismounting, she walked the rest of the distance.
・When reaching her youngest dragon, she was hit with a wheel of emotions; heart ache, love, shock, benevolence and fear.
・Dany cried out, moving slowly toward her daughter.
・Viserion made a crooning near-whine, when she saw Dany.
"Oh my girl," Dany cried, coming to touch Viserion's face.
・And it felt like seeing her properly, for the very first time.
・The golden dragon huffed, and nudged her nose toward the enclosed eggs.
・Dany knelt down and she was astonished.
・The eggs pulsed with life, such a contrast between these and Dany's own eggs.
・Drogon swooped overhead, guarding the area. Eliminating all threats.
・Since Viserion had kept her clutch a secret for so long, Dany decided the eggs should stay there. Only a dragon could reach that cave. Or a dragonrider.
・Only a chosen few are told about Viserion and her eggs, i., Missendei, Greyworm, Tyrion. Yet somehow the rumors spread.
・This becomes so much more than the war for the Iron Throne.
・Now it's about legacy. It's about what will change in Westeros.

So, Vis birthed four eggs.
Not heavy in weight; they are lighter than stone.
As they grew, the shells hardened.
They were warm, pulsing with life. Colourful and vibrant. They thrummed when touched. It felt like a tickle, to them.
Rhaegal will not approach them. Drogon, seen far off in the mountains, hasn’t returned since they were laid.

The information spread like a wildfire, no matter how hard Dany tried to conceal it.
Assassination attempts multiply. Priests in red, white, and black arrive to declare omens of doom.
They send envoys to buy the eggs with gold, slaves, ships
Archmaesters declare her a second Maegor.
They declare that she is 'Not just a Targaryen, but here to End Man’s Rule.'
And they have that last part true...

Those who were once allies out of strategy begin to see Daenerys not as a liberator, but a founder of an age.
Tyrion stops thinking like a Hand. And starts thinking like a man writing a new world.
Missandei grows more devoted. She watches the eggs with wonder. There is no fear in her. Only awe.
Grey Worm triples the guard at Danerys' side.
The alliances she has with other Houses, are now different. She is not the one seeking allies for politics. She has now become formiddable.
Soon people will be begging for a union. And any kind at that.
Dany doesn't need to marry for alliances; she can marry for love.
She has now become the top predator.

Dany grieves.
Because this was never meant to be her path.
She cannot birth a child, and now her dragon can? Danerys weeps, quietly, one night with her hand on the eggs. But not with jealousy. But with hope. A clear vision of what she must do. Who she must be.
However, she does feel fear. And a lot of it.
Because Viserion’s clutch is not a symbol.
It is a weapon of nature, born without cost—and therefore without balance. So...what will best the cost? Who will she lose?

🌈 The new dragons might have deeper ties to the world’s mystical forces:
𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑶𝒍𝒅 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒓𝒊𝒂: As the eggs didn't lay dormant for centuries like Dany's had. They may carry Valyrian magic. Potentially unlocking secrets about the old dragonlords and maybe even their ancient spells.
𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: The presence of dragons often corresponds with the resurgence of magic. These dragons might further amplify that magic, this creates opportunities... the good and the bad kind.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒉𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 is changed abundantly. Where Viserion chose to lay her eggs, the area and beyond - began to grow, and in ways never seen before. Beautiful greenery with vines twisting over stone as if pulled toward the eggs. There's blooming flowers ... even those out of season. Some people were most amazed when herbs long thought extinct begin to appear in unexpected places.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒏𝒔' 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 began to change; even their dreams. Those that were closer to the mountain, dreamt of the future. Of more dragons. Of magic.
