HOW TO: Indian Cross Stitch
I’m making good progress with the Elis Cowl using Unforgettable. It feels really good. It’s SUCH a simple, and interesting pattern, and I’m really enjoying it with this yarn.
The pattern, however, is a little fuzzy on how to do the Indian Cross Stitch (ICS), so I had to look up a video and it was also SUPER simple. The pattern calls for two different ICS. One leaning left, and one leaning right.
You’re basically dropping wrapped stitches for 6 stitches at a time (or any even number), and then slipping half over the other half, then knitting across those stitches. The photo above shows what slipping the first 3 (left) over the last 3 (right).
I love this stitch for how it looks when it’s finished, and how simple it is to do, but dang is it pretty tedious.
