Drownproofing: The Original Explanation of This Revolutionary Water Safety and Survival Technique by Fred Lanoue, 1963
AQUAPHOBIC SOME? • Haven’t had a video of our underwater pool sessions in a while! We tried out underwater goals on this one it was definitely a test of breath hold. It also wasn’t as violent as some of our past videos where we used the edge of the pool as goals. Tried out some underwater weighted walks that @underwater_torpedo_league recently posted. Wasn’t perfect but we can get there! • • • • #versatilemofit #poolday #drownproofing #lapswim #underwaterfootball #usmcfitness #fitness #fitlife #workouttime #getfit #exercise #health #bodygoals #beachbody #spartan #fullbodyworkout #fatburn #motivation #fitinspiration #cardio #inspiration #selfdiscipline #250kchallenge #deependfitness @mccomistimothy @beachntravellover @marioibarrra @bodybuildingcom @optimumnutrition @underwatertorpedoleague (at Cobb Aquatic Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnsO6T7HPuI/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1lb8uwuiiyquz
Barefaced drownproofing
A little fun #confidence builder at the end of a practice filled with #sprint evolutions. #DrownProofing #Travel Portion by some of the #JAG #Swimmers. Hands are behind their backs for the first 25yds. I gave them the option of keeping their hands out in front, or keeping them behind their backs for the return 25yds. They did this 3-times (150yds total). By the 3rd time, they all chose to keep their hands behind their backs for the full 50yds. The Only thing 5th Grade Drownproofing taught me was if you have an oversized long-sleeved shirt then fuck a lifevest.
