Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls - @Firebird
(OOC - Thats right. I did that. That title? The dumb one? Yeah. That happened. BD )
Titania wrung her hangs slightly as she curled against the rock, pulling vines between her hands. They lay limp and stringy, as her hair did, flat against her back. Scales of bark crawled up and down her arms, and she appeared to be hardening, decaying. Her breath was shallow, and she pursed her lips. She was still unable to bring life from her fingertips as easily as she had earlier; Something was blocking it.
She was able to circumvent this block slightly, but it pressed on her, like stones against mortar, and made her slightly sluggish and tired. Rings circled her eyes and she looked alert, skittish, and wary as she tried to birth breath back into the branches and bush around her, mumbling,
"I am your Spring, please, have me as you will.."
At her words, the magic flared slightly and surged greenery into the Earth around her. She laughed, startled, and slightly refreshed by this change, but it didn't last. The waterfall pounded beside her into it's pool, and with the breaking waves, her concentration lapsed. The spring stayed in the plants, and seemed to spread slowly, but she had to shut her eyes and count before she could mutter,
"This is an unusual occurance."
Rubbing her temples, she forced herself to stand and smile at the Earth. Perhaps the delayed winter was just messing with her, or these plants were not yet ready to thrive? But, it couldn't be that way for all of her forest, and right now, it certainly felt like that.
She shook her head and pushed back her hair, taking to her footed form lightly as she walked across the grass and pondered these changes, when some movement in the brush caught her eye and her attention.
She turned, somewhat cautious- Nothing in her forests would bring her much harm, but there had been some instances. A few rogue bears, a woodsman lost, some spelled lovers needing assitance, persons prone to violence. She steadied her feet and lifted her arms at guard, but called with all the musicality of a flute;
"Who goes? Be you friend, or be you foe?"
