Druidic Circle [22×35] by Darkest Maps
Circle of Seasons
PDFs of this and more can be found over on at my Patreon here!
Happy New year! And continuing my pattern of working for 3 years without a week off. Druids kind of like the land druids, but instead of connecting to nature through space, they do so through time, instead. The word season will lose its meaning by the end of this, I warn you.
Natural Recovery
Honestly, one of the coolest druid features, and its stolen from the wizard, no less. But it's fun to add into a subclass similar to the other one it appears in
Circle Spells
This subclass is inspired by circle of the land, complete with the whole multiple bonus spells lists.
Seasonal Attunement
That said, I thought I'd work it in more thoroughly, adopting some ideas from the totem warrior barbarian. Each season has a theme. Spring is life and growth, Summer is fire and swiftness, Autumn/Fall is death and decay, and winter is cold and slowness (and death once because the variety of 5th level spells in kind of lacking).
Mantle of Seasons
Some passives
Seasonal Aspect
spell fighting styles stolen from many places
Endurance of Seasons
Timeless body just got timelesser. It just fits, okay.
And now to plug my stuff. I release homebrews weekly over on my Patreon. Anyone who pledges $1 or more per post don't have to wait a month to see them, and also help fund my being alive habit.
At the moment, they have exclusive access to the following:
The Endless Winter Patron
Seasonal Spells
D&D Oracle of Seasons
Metamagic Rods
So today is something a little weird just because I had a spur of the moment idea last night and wanted to see what it would look like put to paper. Because the primary mechanic for this archetype actively changes a core mechanic for the whole class in a big way, I’m really unsure about the balance of not only that feature but everything else, too. The leeches are potentially powerful but require quite a bit of set up and can also potentially contribute nothing. Disease form is potentially very strong but as a non-combat option which makes gauging its power difficult. I think I’m going try to shunt one of these guys into my current campaign as an NPC just to test it out a bit, but the whole concept was cool enough in my head that I wanted to make it asap even if that meant making tweaks in the future.
As always, questions and comments are welcome. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Second post for the day, the promised druidic circle. I kept having to nerf this as I was making it because the original was way more overpowered than this one is. As it stands, I think this one is still gonna be really fun to play and potentially very strong with the proper set-up, which is where I want most of my sub-classes to sit.

Hello! Here is one of my first attempts at some homebrew. It’s basically Circle of the Moon edited to be a little bit more like an animagus. Would appreciate thoughts and ideas for improvement!
Druiiiiiiids!
Druids are actually pretty cool and I’m starting to get the hankering to play one. I’d like to stress once again that I haven’t played one and can’t really gauge whether this is too much power added on to the base chassis that is the druid, but it seems really fun and flavorful, which trumps perfect balance imo.

Hey, guess what? I’ve never played a druid before.
So as I make plans to actually publish all my homebrew as a campaign setting guide, I want to make sure I have options for every class. I really like druids conceptually, but every time I’ve played 5e I’ve always gravitated toward another class for every character concept I’ve come up with. Regardless, I still wanted to add some stuff for people who like druids, so here this is. I’m not certain if this is balanced, but it seems fun which is what really matters, right?...right?
As always, questions and comments are welcome. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
