Ici, le batteur haïtien utilise le rythme « rabòday » dans un tempo modéré (celui qui convient le mieux au rituel rythmique du « bat bwa » dans le « rara »). Il y greffe une mélodie légère, car pas question de se prendre la tête. Il s’agit avant tout d’une invitation à la danse, à la fête. Quant à ses invités de marque (Jean Caze = trompette ; Dener Céide = guitare ; Yayoi Lina Ikawa = Claviers), ils n’ont pas gâché la fête. Ils en ont même rehaussé l’éclat. I have played in over 1,000 #Caribbean albums and have had the pleasure of working with some of the top bands as well as solo artist in my genre of music,let me name a few (Emeline Michel, Beethova Obas, Edy Brisseaux, Alan Cave, Tabou Combo, Carimi, etc.) Within the last 15 years+ I have brought fourth my own solo projects entitled DJAZZ LA, which currently have 8 volumes available online. Although I have reached the level that I've set out to achieve in the #Haitian market my passion is to complete my afro-jazz project. I was very fortunate to work with leading jazz musicians such as Tom Kennedy( bass player for Dave Weckl, Mike Stern) Ritchie Cannata (sax player for Billie Joel, Chaka-Khan ) and famed jazz producer, Grammy winner Ken Freeman (foreplay).
