Small blurb: I was listening to this Mexican Banda song that reminds me of my ex so I translated it to English and as I was writing it it gave me like a little bit of David Angst vibes. The part where David talks is the songs lyrics.
You’re in bed trying to fall back asleep but you’re anxious, since tomorrow’s a big day.
Your phone rings and you see David’s name flash across the screen so you answer unsure of what he might want.
David starts speaking obviously drunk,

Even being drunk

Something not important
I don’t suffer your absence
It was easy to forget you

You hear David sobbing and hiccuping on the phone uncontrollably then you hear Natalies voice trying to calm him down. She gets on the phone and says she has to go and that she’s sorry he’s calling again especially tonight. She hangs up the phone.
You sit there with the phone in your hand staring at it. You look at the time. It’s 3am and you have to be up at 6am to get ready for hair and makeup. Then you look at your left hand with your shiny engagement ring and wonder if you have cold feet.
