I think one of the many downsides of raising kids on the idea of “only speak when spoken to” is the feeling of not being important.

Because I have a lot to say but because of how I was raised, I assume that if people wanted to hear about my thoughts, they’d ask. Instead of speaking up anyway, because those who care and listen will stay in your orbit.

I think that’s why I feel so frustrated when people don’t ask me specific questions to get to know me. Because I feel like if I just start babbling on about myself, it’ll be useless info that will never be listened to.

But in really I need to take up space. Just because people don’t ask you about your specific music taste, doesn’t mean it’s not important. Don’t wait for somebody to speak to you first, use your voice. Speak for yourself

Going further with this x, imagine an AU where Gerard's Phantom actually IS King Leonidas... Maybe reborn, maybe gone mad and possessing a deformed French composer genius... Whichever way, that would be interesting, and probably hilarious.

One may suggest indeed adding the Persian and making him actually Xerxes, but the problem is, Nadir is too good to be the awful giant manchild... maybe he could be the manchild's dad Darius, though. That guy's only fault in Rise of an Empire was getting shot and having a son who sucks as well as a manic warmongerer adoptive daughter.

bro, full confessional time. i’m not even single but i can’t stop thinking about this one girl who lives one city away. i’d never cheat but like im in a long term relationship that is starting to feel quite straining. i feel like i have barely explored that queer side of me. the relationship i’m in now basically passes for cis straight and that makes me so uncomfortable sometimes cause i’m not straight, i’m queer as fuck, so how do i affirm that? does anyone else feel this way? i really want to talk to people who feel the same but how on earth do i do that.
