McCree paused though and the next thing he said that flew out was probably the whiskey talking, “So uh…” he looked over at Fenris, his eyes lingering on his chin and neck. “Do those um… tattoos go all the way down?” he raised his eyebrow.”

Day Twenty-two: Bottle
Soooo...I got a bit...elevated one could say, on my allergy meds, and this happened.
After a long time just doodling parts of faces, I decided to have Fenris here get blackout drunk and burning his mansion down. Cause I think he would totally attempt to do something like that...I’m still affected by my meds, can you tell?
Guys I’m so high on Benadryl right now, send help.
Prompt: during the three year break up, was there ever a moment when Fenris thought Hawke might go for Anders?
The thought bothered Fenris more than he wanted to admit.
He told himself it wasn’t the idea of Hawke with someoneelse, but the idea of Hawke with thatsomeone else.
After all, Fenris wanted Hawke to be happy. Part of hisreason for leaving had been that desire. He couldn’t give Hawke what he wanted, and so it wasn’t fair to tie him down waiting for something that he might neverbe prepared to give.
It stung, the thought of Hawke with someone else. Thethought of Hawke happy with someoneelse. There was a part of Fenris – a terrible part – that liked the fact theman seemed unable to get over him. At the same time, keeping his distanceseemed the kindest thing Fenris had ever done in his life. A gift Hawke would never understand the true value of. He was better off without such a creature in his life.
Hawke would move on. Hawke would find love. Hawke would behappy.
Fenris could give him that, simply by staying away. It hadto be enough.
Even still –
He knew how the abomination felt for Hawke. He knew thehungry way the healer’s eyes found Hawke in a room, the longing naked in theirdepths. He knew that he had left Hawke open, and hurting, confused andlonesome, and it was only a matter of time before someone swept in – someone whohad wanted him since before Fenris had ever even met him.
“Not him,” he pled one night, after too many cups of wine. They’d been at the Hanged Man, and the abomination had stayed glued to Hawke’sside all night. The words spilled out the first second they were alone – while Hawkewas walking the unusually inebriated elf home. “Please, not him.”
“Fenris?”
His vision was blurred, his words running together. The stars in the sky above glittered down, cold and merciless. Fenris swayed, and Hawke caught him, and his arms felt so good – so good –
“Whoever you love,” he said, “Don’t choose him. Don’t – don’tmake me watch.”
Hawke shook his head. He looked concerned and confused, and his arms felt good. “Him,who?” he asked. “Fenris, you know you’re the only one I – “
Fenris didn’t let him finish the sentence. He couldn’t bearto hear Hawke say he loved him. Not tonight.
“Promise me!” he said, his fists in Hawke’s shirt.
Hawke, uncomprehending, said, “I promise.”
I love wine more then him
