Drift covers his face with his free servo, heaving out a laugh, “Ekkit. There’s. So much behind such a simple question. I just…”
There’s a long pause, as Drift rubbed at his face and laughed again, before downing his entire drink in one fell swoop and sitting back, toying the glass back and forth between both servos and staring at it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world to him.
“There’s more history between us then there probably should be,” Despite his words, there’s a grin plastered to the samurai’s features, “Cross-faction relations. It wasn’t. I did it frequently enough it wasn’t… unheard of but.”
There’s another laugh, as the container is forgotten once more and Drift rubs at the back of his neck, almost seeming sheepish, “It wasn’t usually something that lasted more than once. Maybe twice if opportunity presents itself and they were good, but–…”
“I guess I slipped up. I don’t know why, but–” The container is tapped down to the surface he’d been leaning against prior, burying his face into both servos, “Primus, it was a mess. I don’t exactly want to say I got attached, but that’s probably what happened.”
A heavy vent left the triplechanger, before he seemed to brighten up again, “But I mean. Hey. Things… things seem to be working out? I mean, I can’t. God.”
“I just. I hope I don’t lose him. I don’t think I can handle that.”
