I didn’t try to find English voice versions because I already spent the whole day looking for Russian ones (Russian is my native language), and using American voices would’ve been harder for me. But if you like it, I can put in the effort and make an English-voiced version too.
Also, I know there are a lot of swear words and insults—basically, don’t pay attention to that, just listen to the voices… everything was heavily taken out of context.
This illustration is part of a relay calendar project for the Japanese Dreamswap fandom, featuring art for the year 2025‼️
Since I was responsible for December, I thought it would be perfect to share here—I didn't get to draw a Christmas picture this year(I actually drew this illustration last year)
I actually find myself drawing all the Dreamswap characters pretty often. After all, they're all my absolute favorite characters🥰
Anyway, everyone, have a great Christmas and end of the year! I have to finish up my school assignments lol
This oneshot is a little different from most I've posted, its not the usual concepts I'd say.
Allow me to introduce you to the ✨️Informant au✨️
Basically an au where I merged Blue's old canon occupation with the current canon one, a lot of thought has gone into this I despise anything that opposes canon so I can promise that the au's make-up is as accurate as I could possibly make it.
Without further rambling, I hope you enjoy ✨️

Blue’s head was pounding.
Mere moments- hours ago he was simply on a walk. His bird was resting, he had just finished cleaning his house and found himself staring up at the ceiling, mind blank with nothing to do. He didn’t have anywhere in mind to go to, nor was there really anyone he found himself tempted to b̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ speak to, the silence was irritating but talking to himself felt stupider than he’d like.
After more contemplation, the man decided going for a breath of fresh air wouldn’t hurt anyone, he’d get to go out and walk around, entertaining himself and getting enough of a distraction to shut his brain up temporarily.
The park was oddly empty, much to his dismay, but it wasn’t something he could fix. The sounds of people talking could always be replaced with music, so that was exactly what he did.
What Blue failed to consider was the significance of that emptiness. He didn’t pay as much attention to the shadows moving around as he should have, the rustling of the bushes brushed off simply as just wind.H̶e̶ k̶n̶e̶w̶ b̶e̶t̶t̶e̶r̶ t̶h̶a̶n̶ t̶h̶i̶s̶, h̶e̶ s̶h̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ h̶a̶v̶e̶ l̶i̶s̶t̶e̶n̶e̶d̶.
Lurking, following him not long behind were some old..familiar faces.
Ones he never planned to cross again for sure, but it seemed like life had different plans.
If it didn’t, he would’ve never found himself in this situation at all. Perhaps it was the music in his ears masking the footsteps, o̶r̶ t̶h̶e̶ d̶i̶s̶a̶s̶s̶o̶c̶i̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ h̶e̶ f̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ h̶i̶m̶s̶e̶l̶f̶ d̶e̶a̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ w̶i̶t̶h̶ r̶e̶c̶e̶n̶t̶l̶y̶, but it was too late to do anything by the time he realized who was on his trail.
The moment they noticed he caught onto their plans, they seemed to stop bothering to hide. Blue did little to stop what he knew was soon to follow.
The men were from a gang he had an..unfortunate encounter with some time ago.
That recklessness was mainly what led him to his current predicament, tied to a chair, watched like a prey waiting to be devoured. To say he didn’t know the reason he was there would be a lie, but his body hurt too much to care. They probably drugged him to loosen his tongue again didn’t they?
The brunette didn’t have too much time to ponder about that, his head was clear enough to process the click of the door. The blond in front of him was exactly who he’d expected, it wasn’t much of a surprise he’d rather make a ‘dramatic entrance’ than simply wait for him to wake up, though.
Despite the pain all over him, he noted that was still relatively unharmed. Probably part of the other one’s orders, their deal never truly ended after all.
Neither of them spoke a word as Colton looked into his eyes, all others previously standing around hung left the moment he stepped into the room. Whether they were dismissed or if it was also another part of his orders, Blue didn’t care enough to think about the answer nor did he listen enough to really tell.
Despite not being the leader of this gang, Colton still held power over everyone. As the son of the boss, his words were not to be refused. The members trusted him, those who didn’t faced consequences. It was simply how things worked. It didn’t matter what they thought or wanted, the final say was his.
Nobody was foolish enough to disobey or look for loopholes, until Blue came along, that was. Up until then, he was in ultimate control. The original reason they crossed paths to begin with was quite clear, but in classic fashion, Blue found himself a multitude of loopholes. Unlike most others, he didn’t hesitate in exploiting them, gaining himself complete freedom and safety in exchange for information.
It was a good deal they had, he wouldn’t need to participate in anything and Colton would ensure his safety as long as the other man got the information he wanted. It may have sounded unfair, seeing Blue got protection and had no real ties to the gang. His hands were left clean, c̶l̶e̶a̶n̶ a̶s̶ t̶h̶e̶y̶ c̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ b̶e̶ f̶o̶r̶ s̶o̶m̶e̶o̶n̶e̶ w̶h̶o̶ p̶u̶s̶h̶e̶d̶ h̶i̶s̶ b̶r̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ t̶o̶ h̶i̶s̶ d̶e̶a̶t̶h̶, and he got complete freedom only in exchange for some intel! Easy for someone like him.
Their breaths being the only sound in the room made his ears ring, though fortunately it seemed like Colton planned to change that soon. Backing away from him, the other straightened his back without cutting off eye contact, it looked like he still wanted to try uncovering all it was that made up Blue. He always found it funny, the way the other would try to intimidate him by trying to make himself look like an equal, like he could read him similar to a book when they both knew that was something that would never work.
“So” he began, “do you know why you’re here, or do you need someone to spell it out for you?” If the man sounded irritated with him before, it paled in comparison to his current attitude.
“I’m afraid you’ll have to elaborate? It’s been a long time since we met you know, I’m in an awful lot of pain and your lakeys weren’t gentle with me either” Blue drew out. They both knew that was a lie, but it was a natural part of the game they’ve long since known to play.
“Recently, one of our most important spies was discovered,” the blond answered. “She was ambushed by a soldier sent by the Justice Reigns minutes after we had her go out”
“And that links with me how? Did you just want to see me agai-”
Teasing the other in hopes of distracting him was a bad choice, Blue was aware of that. The sounds of a gun being loaded graced his ears, though fear remained dormant. This was merely another intimidation tactic, he was too important to simply kill and it would get too much attention if he disappeared at random, especially now of all times.
“Cut the shit. You are the only person who could have known she was there at all, so tell me, what have you been telling that new boyfriend of yours?” he spat.
Blue raised a brow, feigning confusion before it ‘clicked’ in his head. Colton was only getting angrier as time passed.
“Ah, Dream! No no, you misunderstand really. I didn’t know she was there at all, this is all news to me he must have simply sensed her presence and sent someone, Ink is good at following trails after all” he winked.
“I never told you who it was”
“Even a toddler could make a guess and get it right, there are only two people he would trust with something like this and only a spy can take out another without drawing attention don’t you think?”
With that, Colton went silent, seemingly considering something new. Whenever they spoke, he tended to do this if he felt cornered. When Blue disproved everything he suspected in seconds, all of his defenses fell knowing this was someone he couldn’t play to his will.
Not like others, where simple words got to their heads, made them believe he held them truly dear, that he gave a single damn about them in any form. It was entertaining, an addicting play for the man, but despite how beneficial it was for him, how easy it was the first time, he could never replicate it on Blue.
A shame, he’d have been just as, if not more useful if making him stay was just that easy. Colton didn’t doubt that they’d have gotten along if they both agreed to stay, extraordinary talents simply tend to gravitate to each other eventually.
“I’m not planning on anything? Why would I do that?” He shrugged. Well, as much as one could when bound down by ropes.
“The only reason I have kept you alive is because you’re useful, it’s just as easy to find someone else who could do the exact same things you do even better so lying and playing this stupid game of yours is a bad idea. I’ve warned you before and this is the last ti-”
“Except you won’t.”
At being cut off, Colton only paused and glared daggers into the other, seemingly daring him to continue.
“You won’t kill me because you know that it’s not that simple, you know that my death is too inconvenient for you now, too hard to fake”
Silence.
Saying that Blue didn’t enjoy the way the other looked when out of options would be a lie, when control was stripped from him and manipulation failed. Without his two most important defenses, his shield fell apart like a house of cards.
For someone meant to be scary, Blue had grown to find him closer to funny.
He was smart, he’d give him that much, but people weren’t his strong suit. W̶h̶a̶t̶ h̶y̶p̶o̶c̶r̶i̶s̶y̶, i̶t̶ t̶a̶k̶e̶s̶ o̶n̶e̶ t̶o̶ k̶n̶o̶w̶ o̶n̶e̶. Growing up in a gang, pressure to be like this from your only parent to prove yourself worthy enough to take his place does that to a man. Not much to dwell on, though, it was his own fault he succumbed to this. If not, then his sister must have been a saint to not fall to the same fate.
That sweet child- Blue had only crossed Camille twice, but it was enough for him to know this was not the place for her. Well, not like it was fit for any kid her age- but that wasn’t something in his control. She’ll get herself out with some assistance, but he wasn’t needed there.
He wasn't really surprised by the way this encounter transpired, seeing the real head of the group wasn't present made things a lot easier for him. For all he puts up, the one in front of him was quite easy to get to. Although that may just be because of how simple it was to get past his walls, a jaded man but not like those types ever posed any issues.
Blue may have been the first person that came to his mind when trying to discern what gave them away, but it was just as likely he wouldn’t be the last.
They had many enemies who wanted to run them into the ground no matter the cost, anyway.
“If the point of this entire show you’ve put up was to blame me for ratting you out, I’m afraid you worked this hard for nothing. I’m sure you’ve figured I want nothing to do with you anymore?”
The blond’s gaze burned holes into his head once again, but Blue ignored him as he had every other time before.
“If you suspect someone to have done so, you and I both know where you should be looking instead” he carried on, “or maybe, it wasn’t an outer source at all”
“Continue.”
Colton’s voice was demanding, threatening, impatient. If it were anyone else, this conversation would have been long over, but unfortunately it still was not.
“You know, I’ve been hearing things”
The other tapped his foot.
“She could have done that herself. At least, that's what a fool may think. The ones you send to watch me are not as discreet as you want them to be, they are not as dedicated as they want you to believe”
“What are you insinuating”
Another way to say ‘choose your next words carefully before I run your head into the ground’, lovely.
“I simply mean that the one who caused this may be closer to you than you think.”
“Something- someone, has infiltrated us?”
Ah, he didn’t consider that, did he? Blue could laugh if not for the increasing tension.
“All I have to add is instead of accusing me of getting her killed, you should be worrying about whether or not I am next”
Bringing attention to his previous involvement with them was unwise, it put both their lives on the line. The brunette relished watching how the other’s expression fell as he desperately tried to piece together a plan, thinking of every possible suspect. That kind of thing was always left to him, the shorter unable to do that kind of thing very well, hard to blame him when all he knew was to dispose of people on the spot and then think, but oh well.
The distraction finally allowed him to untie the knot positioned right above his hands. Terrible craftsmanship, he must say.
His wrists burned by this point, adding to just how uncomfortable he felt in his body at that moment though for a different reason than usual, for once.
He dug his own grave getting involved with this group of individuals, but he will not let them take him to it.

No, Camille isn't a canon character. No, she doesn't have much plot relevance, Asuka and I thought Colton needed more to his family dynamic and its beneficial for writing purposes so we decided to have her exist only as a plot device. Noooothing more-
This is a Dungeons and Dragons x Fatal Flaws Crossover...thing. It’s the same world as the little Vick doodle I did a while ago, even though she isn’t present for this one shot.
As always, let me know if there’s anything I can do to improve!
Don't ask where I'm going with this, I don't know. Kinda just throwing shit at the wall for now. Some might stick, some might not.
TW (if I missed any please tell me): sickness (only a cold, but still), trust issues, swearing, mention of Colton
Hacker curled up tighter when he heard the massive barn door rattle open, allowing in a rush of chilly late fall air. Just his luck to get sick right before winter. A cough tickled his throat, and he waited until the doors closed with a loud bang to let it out, muffling it in his sleeve as best he could. His already tortured lungs were tight with panic, and his heart was beating even faster. He could hear the farmer moving around the lower floor as he checked on the animals in his care, a trio of cows who were more than happy to keep Hacker’s secret.
No one ever came up into this dusty, forgotten loft, which made it the perfect hiding spot as he tried to garner food and money from the nearby town’s people. He had been here for nearly three months, far longer than he’d meant to; the plan had been to lay low at the farm while he rounded up the money for a no-questions-asked transport across the country, where he would (hopefully) never have to hear of his past again, but first unwilling townsfolk and now sickness had held him up. No one in their right mind would offer him a roof over his head once they caught a glimpse of his large, curved horns and thin, arrowhead-tipped tail. Tieflings were known to bring trouble, and he’d been around enough of his own people to know most of the rumors weren’t that far from the truth. They were cutthroats, thieves, and all-around assholes, nothing like Hacker and everything like they were made out to be.
The farmer’s footfalls made the floorboards creak, and Hacker hardly dared to breathe as he passed right by the loft’s ladder. His throat tickled again. His tail lashed fearfully. He’d never met the farmer, preferring that they both go about their business without bothering each other, but he’d seen him on occasion before he could duck out of sightlines, a huge boulder of a man that seemed largely unbothered by anything that didn’t directly relate to his life, the life of his daughter who lived with him, or the lives of his cows.
Finally, Hacker couldn’t hold it back, and a gratingly loud coughing fit shattered the otherwise peaceful silence. He tried to cover it with his arm again, but it didn’t do much. The farmer stopped moving around down below, and Hacker started to shake, pushing himself to his feet weakly. His left leg, which had never been as strong as it should have, sent waves of pain through his brain. His head spun and he fought to keep his balance as he scanned the loft. Where had his knife gone? He didn’t want to hurt the farmer; he seemed like a decent man. But as a rule of thumb no one trusted tieflings and tieflings trusted no one. Hacker needed to prepare to defend himself.
Heavy body on the ladder, climbing up. Where, where…there! Half buried in a pile of straw next to his blanket. It must have ended up there when he’d feverishly kicked off the blanket. Hacker coughed again as he fumbled with the sheath, fighting to get the knife out. Gleaming metal made itself known just as the farmer’s head crested the loft. For a long moment pitch black eyes met Hacker’s dirt brown ones. The farmer slowly lifted one hand from the ladder to brush blond hair from his face, and Hacker took another step back, feeling his own paler blond hair brushing the ceiling. There weren’t many options. He couldn’t jump down without risking hurting himself, which was already a bad idea without his illness being stacked on top of it, and he couldn’t get down without the farmer getting out of the way. Hacker was trapped, mentally bracing himself for cursing and screaming; a completely normal reaction to a tiefling being anywhere they hadn’t been explicitly invited.
“Hey son,” Hacker blinked. The farmer didn’t sound angry; that wasn’t normal. “What’re you doing up here?” The farmer’s voice was deep, and as he slowly climbed up into the loft himself, Hacker watched him dip his head to avoid hitting his head on the roof, holding out his empty hands to either side. He was at least a foot taller and much wider than Hacker. While he was certainly round in the belly, the clearly defined muscles showing through the heavy flannel shirt made it clear that if he wanted to pound Hacker into bloody pulp on the floorboards, it was well within his abilities. Between his strength and Hacker’s sickness, there wasn’t much Hacker could do to stop him.
“Son?” Hacker blinked, realizing he’d spaced out, and shook his head frantically, blinking hard. His mind felt like he’d downed an entire jar of draekvyn, a drug he’d spent far too much time around in his time with Colton. His thoughts sloshed around like freshly made pawberry syrup, formless and without direction. “You okay?” He registered the concern enough for it to put him on edge again. Why would anyone worry about a tiefling like him? Colton had, and look how that ended. “Son, what’s your name?”
Hacker opened his mouth, only to fall into another coughing fit. His thin body shook with the effort, and he stumbled to one side. As he blinked back tears, he realized the man had crossed the loft and was plucking his knife from his hands. Hacker grabbed for it desperately, trying to take back his only defense, but he was easily overpowered. “I’m not going to hurt you,” the farmer said firmly as he picked up the sheath and tucked the knife back into it, before placing it safely on his belt. “But I don’t want you to hurt me, alright? You’ll get it back when I trust you not to hurt me or my daughter.” The farmer stepped back towards the ladder and gestured to it. “We’re going to go to the house now, alright? I’ll go down first, and if you fall I’ll catch you.”
With no real option, Hacker nodded and let the man climb down before he followed. About halfway down his bad leg gave out and Hacker slipped, tumbling from the ladder with a strangled yelp. His stomach lurched as he fell, only to jolt to a stop as the farmer’s arms broke his fall. “Careful son,” the farmer said gently. “Any objection to me carrying you?” Hacker was completely frozen from being this close to someone else, and couldn’t say a word. After a moment the farmer sighed gently and started off towards the house. Hacker managed to swallow against the lump in his throat, but couldn’t find anything to say; he tried to take deep breaths around the tightness in his chest. The man kept saying gentle things, words of comfort that should not have been directed at Hacker, gently steering around rough terrain and into the house.
He hadn’t even thought to look there when he’d moved into the loft and couldn’t keep his curiosity contained. The entire building was made of sturdy wood and was sparsely decorated; the few personal touches were mostly random, though it all seemed cohesive to the company he’d suddenly found himself keeping. As he was ushered to a dining room, Hacker saw a crackling fire in the fireplace and nearly stopped still until the farmer lugged him to a seat and sat him down. “Bunny!” He called out, turning to look at a smaller doorway leading deeper into the house.
There was a moment of silence, and then the doorway became home to a young woman, the farmer’s daughter. She was in her late teens, wearing loose, comfortable-looking clothes. Her blue eyes flickered over him with nothing more than casual interest; almost as if this wasn’t the first time that her father had dragged in a sick stranger. “You need your healers’ gear, right?” The farmer nodded and she darted away.
“You’ll feel better in no time, son. I’ll get you on the mend, and you can stay here until you’re healthy.” That wasn’t a good idea. Hacker had to stay on the move for a reason. Staying here for this long was already a bad thing; staying until he was healthy might take all the lead time he had on Colton, and this little family unit didn’t deserve his inevitable rage upon finding Hacker. “Nearly forgot, name’s Randy. Bunny’s my daughter. What’s your name?”
He couldn’t beat around the bush. That might be suspicious, and dangerous given his disadvantages. “Hacker.” Maybe using his nickname wasn’t a great idea, but he didn’t have the time or the mental capacity to think of a different alias and his real name was too dangerous. “My uh, my name’s Hacker.” After a moment of silence, he stuttered out, “Thanks for not kicking me out, sir.” The heat from the fire made him realize just how cold he’d been, and he shivered as they waited for Bunny to come back. He wanted his blanket back from the loft, but figured the man wouldn’t trust him to just go get it and come back.
“It’s no trouble, Hacker.” Bunny staggered back into the room with a large leather bag in her hands. As Randy took it and opened it up, she stared at Hacker for a long moment, an expression of curiosity on her face before she was shooed away by her father. “Go straighten up the spare room, Bunny.” Once she was gone, Randy continued. “I just wish you’d come straight to the house when you needed somewhere to stay.”
Randy quickly examined Hacker, using a small magical light to look in his throat and listening to his breathing before prescribing a mugful of a warm, bitter drink. The massive man chuckled softly as Hacker pulled a face. “I know it doesn’t taste good, but it’ll help you feel better.” He stood by quietly as Hacker choked down the last of the liquid through coughing fits. Randy gently patted his back as he wheezed pitifully. “Easy, there. It should kick in in an hour or so.” Bunny poked her head in to tell them both that the guest room was straightened up, and Randy nodded. “Thank you, dear. You’d best be getting to bed now, if you want to be awake enough for your morning chores.” Bunny groaned, but Hacker could see her smile as she turned and vanished once again into the hallway. “We’ll need to get you to the guest room; think you can make it on your own?” Randy was looking at Hacker again.
Hacker pushed himself up slowly, testing his legs as he leaned on the table for balance. His left leg protested, as it often did after too much walking, and he winced. His cane would have made this so much easier, if only it hadn’t been stolen by a villager intent on breaking his skull open with it. With no other choice, he’d abandoned it and suffered through the slow limping and near constant pain when he wasn’t sitting or laying down. It definitely hadn’t gotten better with his cold, either. “I think I’ll-“ he coughed again. “I’ll be fine, thank you sir.” He offered a weak smile as he pushed himself up straight and gestured for Randy to lead the way.
Randy guided him down the hallway, keeping pace with Hacker’s limp easily, and held open the door to a small, cozy room. A smaller fireplace was lit and flickering, illuminating a bed with a comforting blue quilt thrown over it. It was the sort of comfort Hacker hadn’t experienced since Colton, and the thought made him shiver. “I’m the last door at the end of the hallway if you need anything, son.” Randy said as he started to step out the door. “I’m going to finish the chores and then I’ll be there. Come find me if you need anything else, okay?” Hacker nodded. “Alright. Sleep well, son.” With that he slipped out and closed the door softly behind him. Hacker listened for the sound of a lock clicking shut, but there was nothing.
Hacker took a shaky breath and stumbled to the bed to collapse. The mattress dipped under his weight and he took in deep breaths of faint smoke and wool. “Fffuck.” He muttered into the blanket. His leg throbbed gently as he crawled under the blanket and curled up, shaking slightly as he was wracked with chills. His mind raced with thoughts of how best to get out of here when he was better; he was not going to let himself bring ruin to this happy family.
I actually forgot to upload this on Tumblr I want to jump out of a window.
While flipping through my planning, I discovered that the 9th of November was Saint Theodore’s day so let us celebrate it in the name of our favorite side character Hacker by making him suffer like a thousand men.
(I honestly find it funny how I usually dislike fanon stuff but once the subject of this lad comes up, I am unstoppable.)
This one-shot contains heavy head canons that exist for the sake of making him miserable so please do not mistake them for canon information.
This was inspired by a fic Jay published on Tumblr, go check it out!
Enjoy your reading!

Warnings: Mentions of self-harm, toxic [Colton x Hacker], violence, strong language, mention of sexual activities, implied pedophilia at one point and verbal abuse (self-harm shaming etc).
Synopsis: “I heard that little Theodore made a mistake in his coding this morning.” was a sentence that Hacker had been dreading to hear all day, hidden under blankets so thin they were almost see-through.
Of course, Colton would not announce his presence beforehand by knocking on the door, way too fond of seeing the other flinch when called upon, especially for a reason such as this one.
“...” He almost wanted to snap at him to leave him alone but while he could be reckless, he was no idiot and knew talking about would only worsen his punishment or death if they were planning to get rid of him.
After all, he was only kept around because he was useful, but he was not the only hacker in the multiverse, they could get another one like him or even more valuable. In short, he was an expandable tool.
So, he kept quiet, lips pressed into a thin line.
***
Hacker and Colton, despite having some embryo of feelings for each other, did not get along in the slightest.
They fought often but considering the former could always order the latter’s demise, their little bickering always ended in favor of the one nicknamed King, no matter if said one was in the wrong or not.
Hacker did not dare comment on the unbalanced power dynamic, in fear he would go through one of his favorite threats: killing him.
Of course, Colton knew that and often teased him about it but in the end, it always ended the same way. They would get rid of the problem under the sheets and that would be the end of it.
Or at least, that was how their fights usually ended.
Their last fight, the one that put an end to their odd relationship and an end to Hacker’s involvement in the gang was particular in the sense that neither party expected it to escalate that way.
The 9th of November.

“I heard that little Theodore made a mistake in his coding this morning.” was a sentence that Hacker had been dreading to hear all day, hidden under blankets so thin they were almost see-through.
Seeing that the other was not going to answer, he kept going. “Really, I heard it was such a beginner mistake that even the rookies spotted it.” He clicked his tongue, shaking his head in false disappointment as he kept an eye on the mass hidden by the tissue.
“To die on the day celebrating your name, ironic is it not?” Hacker was biting his lower lip now. Of course, he would bring that onto the table again. “The others are on their way to bringing up that incident to Father.”
Bored of leaning on the doorframe, he decided to fully invade whatever privacy Hacker had left and stepped into the room.
“I wonder what kind of punishment you’ll get...” He stopped right in front of his bed, staring down at the other who still refused to peek his head out to look at him. “Don’t you?”
Again, he received no response.
Irritated by the lack of answers, Colton finally tore off the blanket that flew back in a mess of white. Hacker flipped on his back to protest and soon found himself with one of his wrists pinned above his head while the other was trapped in Colton’s tight grip.
Normally, he probably would have made a flirty comment which would escalate into another session of theirs but right now, he was far from being in the mood.
“You answer when I’m talking to you, Theodore.” Colton hissed, earning a wince from Hacker when the other started to apply unnecessary pressure on his arms. “Have your parents never taught you that or are you just stupid?”
He looked away, frowning. Though, now that the other made it clear his silence would only result in anger, he finally opened his mouth to say something. “Let go of my arms--” He was not even done with his sentence that Colton did the exact opposite of what he asked for.
“It seems like I have been too easy on you these past few days.” The other stated coldly, eyes fixated on the other’s face. “You’ve even forgotten your place because of that.”
“Colton-” Hacker tried but it only resulted in more pressure being applied. He could feel tears starting to form in the corner of his eyes, vision starting to get blurry.
“When have I ever given you permission to call me by my name? It’s King to you Theodore.” And seeing his expression, he scoffed. “Oh, spare me the damsel in distress act, I’m barely doing anything and you’re already about to cry? What are you, five?”
The nerves in his wrists felt like they had been set on fire but even if it hurt like hell, he knew that he would never stoop as low as to shed a single tear in front of Colton. He swallowed them as best as he could, biting so hard on his lower lip it might as well bruise.
Although Colton’s sudden silence did not comfort Hacker in the slightest who could, even with the blurry vision, see a mix of surprise and shock on the other’s face. He frowned in confusion at the expression, trying to figure out where his gaze was landing.
That is when he realized he was in short sleeves and had nothing to cover his forearms whose scars most likely than not reopened because of Colton.
He froze before he tried to get himself away from him as he had been staring uncomfortably long at them. He could feel the mockery condensing in his eyes already and he was not in the mood to hear that.
“Now now, what is that?” He smirked a bit too smugly in Hacker’s opinion as he held up one of his hands close to his own face, examining the red lines of the other’s forearm.
Said man managed to sit up now that Colton’s attention was attracted somewhere else and tried to tug his arm out of the other’s grip, feeling dread creeping up his stomach into his throat.
“I didn’t take you for the type of person to do this.” He taunted him even further, letting a finger run down the scars. Hacker felt cold shivers run down his spine. He was not liking this one bit.
“Stop.” Hacker almost added a ‘please’ but knew it would only tempt the other to do the opposite and ‘tease’ him further. Though, the shakiness of his voice must have been a good enough hint of what turmoil he was experiencing on the inside. “Just stop.”
“What made you think you were in any position to give me orders?” The other replied, now looking him straight in the eyes. Then, with another grin he added: “You know, it’s quite rude not to say please when you’re asking for something. Maybe if you say it nicely enough will I consider it.”
His hands were trembling uncontrollably as he opened his mouth. “Please.” He turned away quickly, feeling the tears getting even closer to dropping.
Suddenly, Colton was standing and pulling Hacker toward him.
He yelped as he tumbled off the bed onto his feet by the wrist, vaguely hearing the other say something. Though, he quickly forgot about it as he was still feeling the other’s thumb hovering over his scars.
That fear he was feeling a few moments prior suddenly turned into anger as he tugged his hand away from him, Colton’s nails scratching by accident his already injured arm.
Although, the adrenaline boost he just got was enough to make him ignore the pain as of now. “What the fuck is your problem?!” He suddenly found himself yelling, shocking even the big mouth in front of him speechless.
He would have been terrified of what would happen to him now that he had openly insulted the gang leader’s son right after committing a mistake but strangely, he did not care. Not right now.
It was the same apathy he felt when calling the cops on his teacher a few years prior.
That apathy scared him.
“I’ve never done anything to you that would justify what you just did!” He found the words leaving his mouth of their own accord, not even letting his brain try to sort out what should or should not leave him. “Why are you being such a fucking asshole?!”
Out of his temporary trance, the other’s face was distorted into one of anger as he grabbed him by the collar, slamming him into the wall. Hacker did not feel any pain and somehow, that made him even angrier.
“Are you even hearing yourself?” Colton yelled back, irritated. “Are you so full of yourself that you think you will get away with this shit just because we fucked a few times?” He pushed him further into the wall, tearing at the collar because of how tightly he was holding it. “Well, let me tell you something Bradford, a common whore like you I can find anywhere but you’re not making it out of here in one piece if you don’t--”
“Hah!” Hacker scoffed, not even recognizing his own voice. “That threat is starting to grow old you know? I know that you’re going to do it, and you know why? Because you’re obsessed with that power and authority you have over me, feeding your sky-high shitty ego.” He hissed, using his foot to push Colton back a bit.
“Behind your tough act you’re just a coward who is counting on his sweet little Daddy to get himself out of trouble. You’re seriously pathetic.” Obviously, he was thrown on the opposite wall after that.
A furious Colton stomped toward him, the tension between them almost palpable. “Oh, I’m pathetic? Do you really have any room to talk when you’ve thrown yourself at me oh so happily, so delighted to have a single person acknowledge your sad little existence?”
He made sure to use a mocking tone as he spoke, not giving two shits if the two of them were to be found out. “It must be tough to know no one would give a damn if you were to die right here, right now. I heard you didn’t even get a proper funeral when you were announced dead.”
This... was significantly worse than any fight they had had up until now.
Hacker gritted his teeth.
“Maybe no one cares about me, you’re right! But at least I don’t use people to my own ends to feel better about myself!”
“At least I don’t cut my wrists for attention!”
A pause.
Then, Hacker slapped Colton.
The latter stayed in shock in the same position for a few seconds before he turned toward the other, even more pissed than before. “You fu--” Before freezing, eyes widening at the sight of the other backed away, arm still raised in the air with tears of... rage? Sadness? Rolling down his cheeks.
“I can’t believe I fell for an asshole like you.” The emptiness of his voice and eyes were so uncharacteristic that Colton did not even try to stop him as Hacker got up and left the room without uttering another word.
The same day, his father had grabbed him by the arm unexpectedly and told him they had to leave the base in a hurry, the location having been doxed to Justice Reigns.
