so some generic lore is that

The bug people aren’t a fantasy race there’s fantasy elements but these are just hybrid alien humans after several thousand years of evolution. Bugs that are considered predatory Spiders mainly are often put under an umbrella term called “Privim” meaning they embrace “traditional” spider eating habits, meaning they cannibalize other bugs.

There’s also another species made as a byproduct of the human/bug contact. They are simply called “Collectors” giant creatures with distorted facial/bug features. They capture other bug people and those captured are mostly never heard from again, but are scarred from what they see.

The characters aren’t speaking English, they’re speaking their own language made by the planets natives.

characters are not small, most things on the planet are just massive.

spiders have a smaller more human like form. They aren’t stuck with spider legs and abdominals all the time.

bugs can be hybrids. Nana is a Beetle/Butterfly hybrid which is why she has such vibrant green wings.
