In Dream SMP, the End dimension is disabled, the knowledge of this realm is something XD wants outside of out characters minds as seen when he destroys the portal frame Philza & Techno finds.

Something something, theory about the End being the Minecraft world's future state in terms of time, something something, XD is a deity who feeds off nightmares if I know my lore correctly & is responsible for limbo being so nightmarish to feed on the dead, something something, the End dimension being unaccessible thanks to XD as some kind of metaphor for no true ending in sight for the characters thanks to XD's nightmare limbos

Maybe this is just the tired brain talking but I feel like rather than being worried about the dsmp ending, because like, I could live with that, I feel like I'm losing faith that the creators still care about the dsmp story and are willing or able to give it the continuation and conclusion it deserves. And I feel like some plotlines have been just so drawn out because of scheduling issues that they won't feel as satisfying as they normally would have been if the timeframe had been shorter and properly executed. I understand the creators lives don't revolve around the dsmp, and that's fine, but I feel like I'm sick of them promising they're going to do more stuff with it and then going months with little to nothing. I know they probably did plan to deliver and stuff just got in the way but it's disappointing nonetheless. And the reason I'm more worried about them being unable to write a satisfying continuation and/or conclusion rather than the total ending of the dsmp is because I'm someone who has a hard time ignoring canon, and if they take the story in a weird or bad or unsatisfying direction I won't be able to ignore that that's how it canonically went, but if it just ends we can write our own endings and I'd have nothing to pretend didn't happen. I'm. Very tired so idk if I've made a point here or what but I'm going to bed now goodnight
