Do you think they might be rushing Clarke into another relationship because they think the show is gonna be canceled after this season? It'd still be awful, because heaven forbid the main character end the show without being in a relationship, but at least we wouldn't have to deal with this show anymore

i doubt it? pushing clarke into another relationship doesn’t really make sense even if it is the final season. honestly, if i was on that clusterfuck of a writing team and i wanted to try and put a bandaid on the shitstorm that was season 4? i’d leave clarke’s relationship status open ended. you can throw in hints towards a relationship and never confirm it--this would appease the people still watching the show (blarkes) to some extent without ultimately pissing off the clexas and reviving the backlash anew. 

having clarke finish the series alone would be their smartest thing to do. it would be, 1) not shitting on the memory of lexa, 2) actually believable because there’s no timeskip so apparently clarke is gonna fall for someone else literally weeks after losing lexa?? lol sounds fake but ok and 3) leaving it open ended means the blarkes can fap all they want to the possibilities.
