So… this badass bag popped up in my Instagram feed this past weekend. OR… more so an advertisement for this with the product name of “Hip Hop Graffiti Trash Can Shoulder Bag.” 🤨
It is currently, supposedly for sale on a website with the url of relln.com. When I tapped on the pic to go the website, I saw the price and I immediately knew… this was/is a SCAM. 😑
I could tell from the pics that the dumpster shoulder bag I was looking at is a very well made product. Therefore, the price under it was obviously well below what an accurate retail price should be. $25.99 is so unrealistic for such an impeccably crafted item with intricate details… it’s almost laughable. And also infuriating.
My suspicions were confirmed when I saw someone’s comment on the Instagram ad that this bag is actually made by RUGSODA.
And sure enough, the exact same photos that are on this bogus company’s website—which I’m 99.9% certain is based in Asia (these sham operations usually are!)—are on RUGSODA’s Instagram account. The CORRECT name of this item is “Dumpster Bag” and it has the realistic price of $180.
Below are screenshots I took of the counterfeit sale listing on relln.com with my notes in red and then the last two screenshots of the LEGIT sales listing on rugsoda.com.
While it is tempting to purchase something for what appears to be a “bargain” price… BUYER BEWARE! 😳😬
If any of you decided to order this bag from relln.com, one or more of the following things will likely occur:
• You will not receive ANYTHING.
• If you DO actually receive the package, it will have taken a ridiculously long time to arrive.
• The “Urban Rebel Graffiti Crossbody Bag”(🙄) that you receive won’t resemble the item shown in the photos that were stolen from RUGSODA.
• The bag that you receive will be poorly constructed with cheap materials… unlike the bag that RUGSODA actually makes.
• And good luck returning the subpar bag and getting your money back. They will lag on communication with you, stalling the return/refund process with the hopes that you will just give up in frustration.
• Or if they DO actually consent to a refund, it will be partial.
Only buy this bag from RUGSODA!
