There are two pitt werewolf stories I like to think about

1. The cute-ish one. Mel gets invited to run with the pitt pack (Dr Robby, Langdon, Whitaker, and Princess. Dr abbot is human but he is also invited sometimes largely for practical reasons as long as it's not the full moon) and she brings her sister and they have a really lovely time and then when Langdon and Robby have their falling out things go really bad for all of them and the next full moon is an absolute mess and Mel feels really torn and no one has fun.

2. The more fucked up one. One of the pitt docs gets bit by a werewolf during the mci season one. Dr Robby, as a wolf himself, should've smelled another wolf especially one crazed enough with pain to actually bite in human form but he was freaking out and the whole er smelled like blood so some things got missed. Whoever got bit is confused and horrified and traumatized and convinced that their future is now over. Robby is debilitated with guilt in general and over this in particular. There are no other wolves in this story so Robby feels singularly responsible for teaching whoever got bit how to be a wolf and how to control their impulses and be a pack member and so on.

#in option one I also enjoy the dynamics of second in command shifting from Langdon to Whitaker a how cutthroat that could be #and then Mel of course is loyal to langdon in general but does that outweigh loyalty to pack specifically #dunno!!#I think for the second one I'd have either Langdon get bit (fucking imagine? Robby furious with him but also having to wolf-dad him through #his first full moon? painful! beautiful!) or Whitaker for obvious reasons.#tbh I just think that Whitaker looks like a werewolf idk it's the dark circles #boy was made to be nocturnal and haunted #also having to balance getting sober and becoming a werewolf would be horrific

i've FINALLY finished the first part of this scene + the intermediate bit before the second part (lucanis arguing with spite as rook gets to hear only one side of it baybeeeee) and it isssssss 24 pages.

i. SWEAR the second part of the scene WILL be shorter than the first but it'll still take some plugging away at to finish.

....thinking about whether i. ought. to maybe get a beta reader at this point.

#on the other hand. maybe we just go full steam ahead as is #dunno!!#dunno if anyone would wanna beta read this with how messy my notes to myself are lmao #still! while i def thought id have part two done sooner than this I don't feel too bad abt being wrong there #its been busy first of all. a LOT of catching up at work and getting shit done. good stuff but does take a lot of mental energy #and also even on days that i dont really manage to write i feel ive still consistently made some progress #by mulling things over and thinking of better ways to write something #they're talking and learning and having brief moments of a heart-to-heart between awkward moments of Being Coworkers
