Duplica
The Ditto from the recent Horizons episode is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi who voiced Katy in Horizons
However, this isn't the first time Mitsuishi voiced a Ditto!
She voiced Duplica's Ditto way back in the early OS anime!
I wonder if this casting is a callback?
Also, she voiced Domino in the Mewtwo Strikes Back special.
So yes, Sailor Moon is a Ditto.

The Spotlight of Japan: Duplica and Vivian’s Stage Directives
While Ash, Misty, and Brock watch from the front row, the stage is being governed by two masters of performance. Duplica, the expert mimic and actress, serves as the Stage Manager, while Vivian Meridian, the elegant voice of the Hoenn Contests, takes the mic as the official Announcer. Together, they bring a high-class, theatrical energy to the Japanese anime concert circuit!
The Packstreet Boys (Classic Era) Concerts
Job Descriptions
Duplica (Stage Manager): Duplica uses her acting skills to anticipate the band's needs. She wears her headset to coordinate with Natsumi and Miyuki to ensure the stage remains secure during Alvin’s guitar solos. She even uses her Ditto to "stand-in" during soundchecks to ensure Phineas’s lighting is perfect.
Vivian Meridian (Announcer): Vivian brings a "Contest Spectacular" flair to the introductions. She builds tension with her graceful tone, highlighting the technical mastery of Ferb’s engineering and the "rebellious" rhythm of Bart’s turntables.
Summary
This show is a fast-paced "Shonen" adventure. Duplica manages the complex movement of instruments—from Timmy’s brass section to Sonic’s electric setup—with theatrical precision. Vivian’s introductions make the arrival of the band feel like a legendary Pokémon evolution.
The Quotes
Duplica: "I need the bugle stand moved three inches to the left! Natsumi, keep the fans clear of the pyrotechnics during Sonic's solo! Kshht—Ditto, transform into a roadie and help with those drum cables!"
Vivian Meridian: "Ladies and gentlemen, prepared to be dazzled! Their rhythm is as sharp as a Razor Leaf and as fast as Extreme Speed! Please welcome... The Packstreet Boys!"
The Pinkettes (Classic Era) Concerts
Job Descriptions
Duplica (Stage Manager): This show is all about "Kawaii" aesthetics. Duplica manages the dancers and ensures the sparkle levels are high. She coordinates with Miyuki for the safety of the girls' elaborate costumes and monitors Sonia’s keyboard medallion cues.
Vivian Meridian (Announcer): Vivian treats this like a Ribbon-winning performance. Her announcements focus on the elegance of Isabella’s violin and the power of Brittany’s lead vocals, making the audience feel the "grace" of the idols.
Summary
The Pinkettes' show in Japan is treated with the reverence of a Grand Festival. Duplica ensures that the piccolo and trumpet solos are perfectly spotlighted, while Vivian’s voice guides the audience through a magical girl-themed musical journey.
The Quotes
Duplica: "More glitter on the stage! Miyuki, we have a fan trying to toss a bouquet to Brittany; intercept it gently! Kshht—Vivian, the piccolo solo is the cue for the petal drop. Stand by!"
Vivian Meridian: "A symphony of beauty and talent is about to unfold. Their harmony is truly a masterpiece of the heart. Welcome to the stage... The Pinkettes!"
Avenger Munch’s Make Believe Band (MMBB) Concerts
Job Descriptions
Duplica (Stage Manager): Duplica treats the mascots with the respect of fellow actors. She manages the "prop" transitions, ensuring Pasqually’s accordion and Jasper’s banjo are ready. She uses her headset to give commands to the crew to keep the "friendly" atmosphere perfectly timed.
Vivian Meridian (Announcer): Vivian uses her warmest, most welcoming voice, acting like a bridge between the giant characters and the preschool-aged fans in the audience. She makes Cool Chuck feel like a superstar.
Summary
This tour is a celebration of nostalgia and joy. Duplica ensures that the "Janet" saxophone solos are the focal point of the lighting, while Vivian adds a layer of professional polish that elevates the puppet-style performance into a world-class theatrical event.
The Quotes
Duplica: "Crew, make sure the pizza-box props are stacked correctly! Natsumi, the kids in row one are getting a bit too close to Munch’s keyboard—eyes up! Kshht—Vivian, Chuck is ready to take the mic!"
Vivian Meridian: "It’s time for a show full of friendship and fun! Their melodies will stay in your heart forever. Please give a warm Alolan-style welcome to... Cool Chuck and his band!"
Final Analysis
Duplica and Vivian Meridian create a "Prestige" environment for the Japanese anime audience. Duplica’s background as an actress allows her to manage the stage with an artist's eye, ensuring that every command she gives via headset results in a visual masterpiece. Her coordination with security guards Natsumi and Miyuki ensures that even the most high-energy rock shows remain safe and orderly.
Vivian Meridian adds the "Professional Announcer" touch that Japan loves. She treats these bands like top-tier Pokémon Coordinators, giving their arrival on stage a sense of weight and importance. Together, they bridge the gap between the western cartoon roots of the performers and the high-production expectations of the Japanese concert circuit!
More Soul(mate)s of Light AU content and trivia! During Destiny's Trainer journey in Kanto, she has the opportunity to meet up an old friend from her dad: Duplica!
They have a friendly battle together and seeing Destiny's battle skills and knowledge about Pokémon in general motivates Duplica to gift her a Ditto she raised.
It takes some time for Destiny to warm up to a "goopy piece of bubblegum" and thinks they're kinda similar to her dad's Muk! She ocasionally uses this Pokémon in battles and to help her out in some situations during her travels.
