Why does tumblr keep duplicating my posts it's so annoying
I'd like to know why I have duplicate posts. It's not every post, but there is one post I have that apparently only I can see, wtf
Did my phone just triple post the same thing, after the weird double posting recently returned? Or is my phone just glitching in a way that creates the illusion of duplicate posts? Better get on my desktop Tumblr before i delete anything.
Making duplicates of some posts in English
I decided that I want to practice English more. I even made an additional Instagram account - so now I have @hannarud_by for my posts in Russian or Random :) (sorry, but this account is private as sometimes I post sensitive things there), and I also started @hannarud_com to share some duplicates with English subscripts. So I decided to do similar thing with the blog, but Iâll post them under english and en hashtags. If you donât like it - donât read it ;) if you found a mistake - let me know. Iâm about to obtain some certificate in English soon, so this would be helpful.
Enjoy anyway! BR, Hanna
mini rant
omg Tumblr seriously stop duplicating my posts, you're killing my chill.
I think this is an issue specific to mobile/app posts? I'll reblog or create a new post and BOOM BOOM BOOM! It duplicates up to 3x in a row.
Thing is, when I clean up my feed by deleting copies, I often unintentionally delete someone else's like or reblog. ugh.
why cant Tumblr fix their actual issues instead of creating more issues?
why do I still love it here? (answer: because of you, my mutuals, and those blogs that still post butts)
how and why?? and it's always so random. this time doesn't even make sense.
Google Silently Releases Another Algorithm Update Into the Wild - Crest Media Inc
If there is one thing we have all learned about Google and SEO, its that things change. Sometimes the changes can be for the better and sometimes the changes can be for the worse. The most common way these near-constant changes to how content appears in Googleâs search results are via algorithm update. For many, this can make performing âgood SEOâ feel like chasing a moving target, but with some precision planning, it doesnât have to be.
Sometimes Google is very open about these changes, other times we are all left completely in the dark. One such recent change is the perfect example. This most recent change has been nicknamed, âThe Phantom Update.â The Phantom Update was secretly launched sometime in late April or early May with no announcement for Google at all. In fact, Google has been tight lipped about the entire update. What type of impact did the Phantom Update have and how might be affecting your Internet properties?
Thin Content
The Phantom Update seems to have had a major impact on what is known throughout the industry as thin content. Thin content could come in a multitude of formats. It could be an entire site, a video, a Facebook page or even an article. Thin content is generally created for the sole purpose of making money. Thin content has no real value to consumers. In fact, most of the thin content that exists on the Internet is designed to trick consumers. This is not the type of content Google wants to display to its billions of users, so this algorithm update seeks to address and correct this problem.
Thin Content Examples
Thin content is not hard to spot, but here are a few dead giveaways that should be removed if you think they might exist on any of your current Internet properties.
Duplicate Posts and Redundancy â It might seem like a smart idea to milk a topic for all its worth but try to avoid this type of content. The content doesnât have to be exactly the same either. It could just be very similar in order to get penalized.
Doorway Pages â If you are still using doorway pages as a means to get traffic to your site, close them. Doorway pages are bad news.
Thin Out the Ads â If your Internet properties are full of ads and little to no valuable content, then you need to scale back the ads and add more content. The days of creating affiliate websites designed to earn nothing more than a commission are long gone.
Poorly Written Content â Poorly written content comes in many forms. It could be content created by a person whose first language isnât your target language or it could be content created to rank for a specific keyword. Your articles should provide real value to your visitors. Take a good look at your content and try to ask yourself if it does indeed provide value to your visitors.
Break Content Up
Very few people enjoy reading a page of content that is one super long paragraph. Just looking at this type of content makes most people turn away. People like to digest content in bite sized chunks. They love to scan the entire piece of content and decide whether or not they should invest the time in reading it.
Breaking the content up makes visitors (and search engines) happy. It makes it much easier for visitors to scan the entire page and pick out the points that matter most to them. Good use of formatting variety also makes it easier for search engines to detect duplicate and computer-generated content. Use headers, bullet points and keep your paragraphs short and sweet.

In case you havenât noticed yet, in order to avoid feeling the effects of any algorithm update that Google throws at the Internet, you need to create content the provides value. You need to create content that Internet users want to consume and then share with their friends and family. Keep this in mind and you wonât have to worry about Googleâs constant search results updates.
