#Zumerposting#We did a poem for Canada day that I really liked#And we did Abraham Sutzkever’s _In Gorton_ and I did a little working translation while we read it and edited it into a poetic translation#During the class#My teacher said it was very good and showed it to the program director who said that _redacted other organization_ gives translation grants#For Yiddish and that no [translators] want to touch poetry because it’s different from translating prose#And that if I told people I can do this there’s a market for it#Considering it tbh.
