i need to quit looking for bad peoples approval

why do some men have to be such violent POS...i witnessed my friend being abused by her boyfriend twice the other day while she was drunk...hearing her scream & cry for help nearly broke me..i did everything in my power to help but we didn't know what he was fully capable of..

i'm doing my best to be there for her but there's only so much i can legally do..i gave my statement to the police for the 1st one i saw.. but sadly she didn't want them called or to press charges against him for the worst one i saw..she's pushed me & everyone else away just so he doesn't harass, verbally & physically abuse her more than he already does..

as a DV survivor myself, i know that it's hard to hear the harsh truth of what needs to be done for your own safety & sanity..but i want to do more to help..i just don't know what to do now..

i feel stuck but i just want her to be safe & okay
