We’ve been following along with Florida’s DVWEZ (pronounced Dames) this past year with much zeal ever since her debut song Celebrity surfaced. Her music is supple and sensual, yet intensely ravishing and deeply searing. DVWEZ has been busy putting together a new EP named Paradise, and she’s now ready to sweep us away with a lead single named Giving Into Us. We give into the song’s luxuriant R&B pop and lavish rippling electronica, which comes courtesy of producer KAIXEN. Giving Into Us is a lush seductive, deep yearning ballad that channels a less experimental, more silky intoxicating FKA Twigs, with the chiffon atmosphere of Rhye. Forthcoming EP Paradise is described as a tender, four song portrait of DVWEZ’s fight to maintain her identity, while experiencing profound love.

We must thank long time R&B pop favorite DVWEZ, not once, but twice, for the sublime aural experience that is this next silky gliding joint. Not only did she key us in on RYSC’s Release, but she also worked with the mysterious artist, her friend, on the song. The R&B soul and chill electronica hybrid comes off of RYSC’s recent Amyloid EP, a gorgeously affecting four track release you can stream in full below. For those that have never read about amyloids, they’re these sticky proteins that aggregate into plaques and fibrils all throughout the body, but when it happens in the brain, research has shown that this can lead to the degenerative disease known as Alzheimer’s (I have my science degrees and past research experience to thank for this knowledge). It seems that RYSC is making a statement about memories, and how they’re tied to sorrow and heartbreak, with his music. Indeed, Release is a wistful and bittersweet yet airy and sublime beauty on which he coos “I try to forget, all the things you said to me...” Hopefully, someday soon, they’ll find the cure for Alzheimer’s, and we’ll never have to fear forgetting how blissful it is to dissolve into RYSC’s sweet Release.

It is a true sonic Elysium we encounter on DVWEZ’s latest ravishing single, Paradise. The singer and songwriter from Florida woos us with a plush, lavish soundscape and torrid brass as we wade into the sensuous beauty. This breathy seductive late night ballad fuses pastel gauzy soul with foggy fluorescent 80′s synthpop. I find it hard not to surrender myself and dissolve completely into its luxuriant folds. We’ve been fans of DVWEZ’s music for a long time, but this might be her most sublime aria yet. It arrives as the title track from DVWEZ’s next EP, out later this year. It’s a sensual and dark Halloween night we alight on as Floridian singer songwriter DVWEZ seduces us ominously with the luxuriant electronica and provocative R&B found on Haunted. Though steamy and moist, Haunted carries a menacing undertone in its turbid production, creating an exciting and irresistible sense of danger and risk. DVWEZ’s breathy ravishing voice calls out to us like a siren, tempting us ever deeper into her dusky bewitching world. The dreamy glimmering, murky shifting song arrives with a ghostly music video filmed, directed, and edited by Joe DeSantis (Megabyte Films). He gives the song the visual capacity to come alive in an eerie surreal 70′s themed house.
