THORIN'S BOOTS!! 💗🧡🔥
“Putting on the boots and walking as Thorin… I kind of wish I had those boots, I wish I’d kept them!” (x)
“Armitage liked his boots so much, he jokes that they'll soon take the fashion world by storm. ‘They are the most funky things you've ever seen,’ Armitage says of his gear, made of leather and fur and featuring a three-inch steel toe cap”. (x)
😍 ❤️
‘This is not your kingdom! These are dwarf lands. This is dwarf gold! And we will have our revenge!’

Kíli's boots
My dear fellow dwarves, finally durincrafts is back to crafting.
Kíli's boots needed fixing after HobbitCon4. The adhesive Velcro tape I used to attach the leather covers to the real-world-boots didn't work as it was supposed to work, leaving a slimy layer of glue and fled! I'm afraid pieces of the tape still rove about the Maritim Hotel in Bonn. I decided to sew the covers permanently to the boots. For that I needed to find a way to get access to the real-world-boots' zippers.
I hope Kíli will forgive me that I added these super anachronistic zippers to his boots, but it makes dressing up much more easier. Thank you Kíli for your understanding.
I guess it is fair to say that Richard Armitage is at "Boot Camp"...they truly look heavy. I am just thinking how he felt running in them.

"They're ridiculous." the minstrels said.
"Ugly." was the declaration of most of the tailors.
"Huge!" giggled the young laundresses.
"Positively dwarvish." Muttered the nurses.
Yet when Eol Moriquendi cheerfully kicked Denethor of Gondor in the shins and the Man went down with a screech like a nazgul, clutching at his leg and shouting in pain, grins were had all around.
Eol, after all, wore Ironfoot boots.

A/N: ...yeah I don't even know. It was too short to put behind a readmore, really. And there's a headcanon for the boots as there is a headcanon for everything else. Eol wears boots with iron or copper toes (caus', you know, hot metal, heavy things, smithies..) and they are very very Not Elvish. There are weights in his shoes and when he takes them off that sumbitch can run.
