What is it with me and dwarf ears?

You guys do know that dwarves don't have pointy (elf) ears...right?
A ton of the fanart of Thorin (most commonly in the Bagginshield tag) has him with pointy ears...
That's not right.
Here, for your consideration, an example of dwarf ears.
Large, not pointy.
Large, NOT pointy.
Large! NOT pointy!
LARGE! not POINTY!
And one more thing, hobbit ears ARE pointy, but they're far thicker than elf ears.
So please stop giving dwarves and hobbits ELF ears.
