I'm a hundred years late to the fandom but can I just offer my half-baked idea back then?

This one takes place shortly after Astral's 'death' and Yuma wakes up one day to find half of his body has seemingly transformed into half Astral's being; with his right eye now golden, green jewels and markings on his body.

Grief and slight body dysphoria combo attack.

No but with the revelation that Yuma is a piece Astral lost during his battle against Don Thousand, I often wonder if it would manifest in other way. Looking back, it makes sense why Yuma can interact with Numeron Code in his dream and the only one who can see Astral since he literally carries a piece of Astral himself.

So this idea is like a canon-divergence where the soul shows its mark on the body.

Not sure if it would have changed anything, canon-wise, but Yuma now has a harder time coping with the loss of his alien companion and on that, swimming lesson is now difficult to participate. He needs to wear his D-gazer more often to hide his golden eye and long-sleeve jacket or shirt to cover his marks.

Fun fact: in this au(?) when Yuma squints or narrows his eyes, he resembles Astral a lot and unintentionally scares a few people.

Imagine a time travel scenario where Gyeol and Yeonri get accidentally transported back to the past (timeline is shortly after Yoojin debuts as monster tamer) and just confused the heck out of everyone.

Like, a pink-haired child copy of the famous guild leader Sung Hyunjae and an exact mini replica of Hayeon guild leader's older brother/monster tamer Han Yoojin are walking around and calling each other brother.

By the way, the two kids intend to get low-profile and wait for their guardians from the future to find them but get sidetracked or because of their connection to Yoojin, their luck also follows which means troubles and mayhem also follow them.

Seeing so many cool gender bend arts of Yugioh! Protagonists but very little of Yuma so I decided why not and bam:

I think I'm getting the hand of drawing Yuma's prawn hairstyle! I especially have fun with changing the four pointy edges to something more...plausible for a girl! Yuma au.

I genuinely believe a more tomboyish girl!Yuma would probably look the same as canon Yuma, with occasionally more hair letting down and wearing the occasional skirts but for this one, I'm making the girly girl! Yuma (and because I like experimenting hairstyle)

So far, my most favorite designs are Yuma with low pigtails or braids. The second favorite is the twins ponytails (it gives her a more high-spirited vibe).

Shoulder-length haired Yuma and Yuma with long hair letting loose are also great. For the latter, I was inspired by her mother Mira. There is a design where Yuma has two long bangs, which is also another cameo to Mira.

My most disliked is the one with Yuma's side profile, hair tied up in a single ponytail. Dunno why but it didn't vibe with Yuma's ADHD energy.

Overall, there is that. Hope you enjoy my little contribution ^^
