Phobias: he's afraid of his own dreams. Not exactly an irrational fear, given that he is supposed to have prophetic visions. That's the whole reason he was selected for the academy: one son of the land for each school of magic. The problem with his dreams is that they have a tendency to come true. So he does his best to block them out, takes fantasy melatonin, stays up for long stretches, that kind of thing
What They Would Be Famous For: if anyone found out that he had received a vision of the destruction of Cirrus Academy by a landslide of epic proportions and didn't warn anyone (other than Sheery, the one chosen as an infant to become a necromancer who turned out not to be a boy, whoops, and who Dylam had been close with throughout their education), he would be famous, alright. not in a good way, but people would know his name
