I’ve been playing tomadachi life and I got Mahira and Alvis to fall in love and get married and it inspired me to draw them like this

So I decided to make a little CARDS-Welcome Home Crossover AU…

Disclaimer: This is fanmade content and not official or canon to the official Welcome Home project. I’m not working with Clown at all and, again, none of this is canon to Welcome Home. It’s just a silly little crossover.

I’ve got the premise of this AU below the cut bc it contains spoilers for the CARDS comic that you can read on WEBTOON. Some of the character profiles also have mild spoilers as well.

Inspirations behind this AU

@/c0rduroyqu33n’s Welcome Home OC Madeline has a really interesting backstory that inspired the general premise of “human character comes to Welcome Home puppet world and becomes a puppet” of this AU

The fanfic “Home Away from Home” by Witherby was another one. I would say that this is kind of like that fic, but in reverse.

Now to the story (again, spoilers ahead)

This AU picks up at the end of Chapter 19 of CARDS, where Alvis and Rubis end up falling into this huge pit. However, instead of landing in the ruins like they do in Chapter 21, they instead end up in Home, where they are transformed into puppets. Meanwhile, back in CARDS (this would now be occurring around chapter 20), Mahira and and Dylan go out to search for Alvis’s body as they believe he has died. They find the hole and decide to check there, but end up falling into the hole themselves, coming to Home and also being transformed into puppets. Now all four need to figure out how to get out so they can get back to their friends and families and also so Deck Wars don’t end poorly, but until they do, they can enjoy the colorful, cutesy world of Welcome Home and all it has to offer.

Anyways, yeah, that’s the premise. I’m not sure what direction this will go in because we don’t even have the full story for Welcome Home itself, but hopefully I’ll know soon.
