i wasnt there before wemmbu deleted his channel so i only really know their rivalry to the extent of the vids but it will never not be funny to me how much wemmbu antagonizes minute, its almost like they Have to be enemies or else he'll implode. they Can work together mind you, and is probably why minute keeps getting his hopes up in the first place, but it never really lasts long

even in s6 when theyve barely interacted cause of how much minute travels, the first thing wemmbu thought of when presented with the possibility that he's washed is fearing that he wont be able to fight minute like bro 😭 hes out getting milk 😭 i dont think you need to worry about that rn 😭

on the other hand, shoutout to that time minute warned the PlayersTM about how untrustworthy wemmbu is despite the fact everybody already knew that fact, bro has Not gotten over that trauma despite the fact that it was before lifesteal and wemmbu has yet to betray minute on ls itself lmao -- and yet despite that, minute kept helping wemmbu when they werent directly against one another like i dont think the PlayersTM were the ones who needed the warning lmao

overall i think its fascinating how like. two sides of the same coin they are. theyre very similar but they veer in completely opposite directions or at least in ways that opposes the other which i suppose explains how they keep managing to antagonize the other lmao

16. free space: what's your favorite thing about their dynamic, as a fan or as a writer?

v good question... ok i think..,, there's a lot. k is different around calyx than her other whumpees (much stricter); calyx is different around k than around other whumpers (much more afraid)! there's a,, casualness to it. they become very familiar with each other. part of it is to do with the fact that calyx can't hide anything from her so they just end up saying stuff aloud and she finds their confidence in continuing to retort while actively shaking and crying amusing :)

their dynamic changes a lot as avo progresses and as calyx grows more into actual obedience k lets more casual disobedience slide bc she knows that they genuinely are sort of incapable of acting on it. they learn what she wants them to do and how she wants them to behave and they just end up doing it. they will complain about it and she'll let them because they are Doing it. <- this would not be let slide with rosie / arthur. calyx is like a little hissing kitten to her. it's a taming exercise

they both have a thing for giving up then coming back with more viciousness although while mapicc often accomplishes that by using force, bacon on the other hand uses his words -- which i think explains their dynamic very well: mapicc focuses on the physical (violence and actual player presence) while bacon focuses on the psychological (debate and actual worthwhile content) but despite or perhaps because of these differences they end up complimenting each other very well, not only in the sense that they cover each other's weaknesses but also in that they both care a lot about different aspects of the servers content/entertainment/activity which leads to a lot of synergy in motive and principles which then leads to a lot of synergy in goals and action whether it be opposition of or in service with each other

a really funny thing i find about their dynamic is that bacon is the person who takes the most advantage of mapiccs fandom dog-coding, from teasing him about it to just straight up ordering him like one sometimes -- my theory for why that is is cause he probably knows it comes from somewhere, both bacon and mapicc are very observant ppl and bacon in particular has observed that mapicc is a very loyal person who generally takes orders from ppl he has grown attached to and he for sure knows that mapicc has grown attached to him

that being said theres a reason theyre called losers lmao, theyre not the best at what they do and they get their asses handed to them a Lot but thats part of the charm isnt it? they get knocked down and they get back up again over and over even when they start malding over it

edit: okay so i actually finished writing this up last dec 29 and have basically just been trying to get what i wanted to say out properly ever since... which i failed miserably at so i decided im just gonna cut my losses and just post it cause 😭 yeah i have no idea what to add. this paragraph is basically the only new text and i didnt bother to edit the old text cause i have a lot of trouble processing my own writing for some reason so everything is basically unreadable to me no matter what i do, hope its legible to the rest of yall tho

big fan of how much theyre willing to sacrifice everything for each other and just how fucking funny they are together, individually theyre already pretty overwhelming (/pos) on their own but together theyre even more so and it basically feels like if a 4channer and a tumblrina became soulmates lmao

im a big fan of whenever they do fandom bits or god complex bits with each other its so funny, im an even bigger fan of whenever they queerbait together shoutout ai minecraft video and that one random wednesday that ash logged back in lifesteal after like a million years and the wemmbu farm moment <3

their adhd swag, sharp sarcasm, and desire to hang out together as much as possible in whatever server theyre in together is great and makes for some 10/10 moments basically constantly whenever they hang out lol it really is a shame that timezones keep cucking them cause they have such a good dynamic whenever they actually manage to be on at the same time together so prayge they get to hang out more after ash graduates

hater who loves vs lover who hates who wins. i think the way they care for each other a lot is really cute, i suppose thats just the natural consequence of being two of the three ppl who became teamed on the basis of being on 3 hearts as much as possible and essentially becoming the servers hunting trophies at some point lol

i think a funny thing ive seen from the fandom is that some ppl seem to think planet is nothing but a sweetie lmao?? which is just. not the case. like guys planet was the one who went on a killing spree and suggested hardcore for a reason, he wants drama he wants conflict he wants ppl to fight and he can be manipulative if he wants to be like this man is nawt innocent

on the other hand ive seen some ppl think that bacon is nothing but a hater which is just nawt the case, hes really critical but if he genuinely sees something he likes he is nawt shy about showing it and he cares about the ppl he wants to have a connection with like bruh hes such a worrywart over planet this season which tbf is understandable cause the mfer keeps getting killed for literally no reason while planet remains as chill as hes always been, planet is also really good at getting bacon out of his negativity mindset (different thing from his hater mindset) which is quite the achievement cause at least from what ive seen hes been the only one who can do so at least successfully

its pretty obvious by now that theyve got a pretty special bond going on thanks to the fact that theyve gone through basically every season together since s2. theyve teamed, theyve allied, theyve become enemies, theyve become not-teammates, theyve betrayed each other, theyve betrayed For each other, theyve done everything except stop giving a shit about each other

they understand each other very well and are very good at not only navigating situations while keeping the other in mind but also at helping reel the other back from giving into their urges (mapicc from a spiraling zam and zam from a homicidal mapicc)

theres an implicit trust in how they treat each other nowadays, not in the traditional sense where theyd never go against each other but in the sense that theyd always know where the others mental is at. that being said they still kinda need to work on their communication skills lol esp on zams end but hey theyre working on it

theyre always working on something in their relationship and i think thats what intrigues me the most about them, despite how well they understand each other already theyre always intentionally bettering that understanding every season and this seasons no exception, they talk and talk and talk about where their heads at, what they can do to accomodate each other, what they can do to keep the other around even if theyre not teamed, etc and theres a lot of respect there the whole time regarding their different wants, needs, and mentalities which i think is very cool

anyways will forever be funny to me that they just keep going back to each other even when they dont mean to or even want to, they complement each other perfectly and i think they know it lol

so while i Have seen some stuff from s4 i havent seen all of it yet so i dont have the complete picture of how their relationship was but i do know enough to know that they did (and still do tbh) care for each other and tried their hardest to make compromises before The Great DivorceTM but well. we saw how it turned out. in another life they def couldve worked out but as you yourself said that would require them to be different ppl with different goals, mindsets, experiences, and circumstances so in the end it doesnt really matter anyway, whats done is done and all they can do is to try to reconcile and move past it -- and try to reconcile and move past it they did! with... variable results.

despite zams resilience when it comes to external troubles its rather typical of him to succumb to his internal ones which generally leads to one or both results: repression/avoidance or a desire for action to an unhealthy degree and in s5 he managed to do both! hey girl why are you vehemently trying to repress your past while relentlessly tormenting your ex under the guise of "cause you felt like it" which gets worse the more he tries to bring up your past together with you only to finally let it all go when he gives you a book addressed to your real life self?? gay as fuck if you ask me

when it comes to zam it really feels like vi is endlessly trying to reach towards someone who burns at even his slightest of touches and reacts accordingly. while most probably give up especially with how frustrated and agrieved he is he cant help but keep trying to reach out anyway cause despite everything he doesnt wanna cut off that connection. what really gets me tho is the fact that he entrusted jumper to abyss despite the fact that their relationship has been nothing but antagonistic til that point like girl why did you think that a team made up of some of the main proponents of your suffering both that season and the season before that which btw includes your ex who was the main source of said suffering both times who keeps trying to deny what you had and either avoids you or tries to kill you, were the most fitting and reliable candidates to be with your best friend and neglected teammate?? gay as fuck if you ask me

idk vitalazam is just one missed opportunities after another i think, always so close but never enough, always something to regret, always something to grieve and this season was no exception. icb vi logged on for a whole 24 hours unsure when he can log back on again and zam decided to prioritize building the mapicc castle instead of spend as much time as possible with him 😭 and now zams living in vis basement and keeps ruminating over the past and what vis been through and wants to revive him even if he never logs back on again like. bro.

overall i think theyre ill and they make me feel ill and they should be studied in a lab i think

im a big fan of their character parallels and how they both at least to some level desire safety even if it meant staying in one place forever and yet are willing to sacrifice themselves in order to make sure that everyone else gets to live happily ever after
