last year in a fit of desperation i contacted e.m. carroll's agent in hopes of being able to acquire a copy of ann by the bed to purchase, as the thing was in print over a decade ago and is not available anywhere (including secondhand sites). it went ignored, and i've since contacted the original publisher (youth in decline) as well but i don't have exceedingly high hopes as their frontier series that published the comic seems to have been discontinued in 2019 and they don't have much of an online presence otherwise. another comic of carroll's that i'm looking for, beneath the dead oak tree, was briefly up for free on gumroad in 2020 before its publisher seemingly went under and its website has been gutted out to be a fake finance spam page, of all things
im posting this to vent my unending frustration bc it's insane to me personally that even a relatively well-known and respected indie comics artist like carroll whose books have been sold overseas can still be this much of a pain in the fucking ass to acquire comics from, mostly bc it seems like there's not one particular Big Source for these indie publishers like amazon that can print on demand or keep works available for purchase years after publication. i am genuinely so desperate to spend my fucking money on an artist i like and there seemingly aren't any avenues to do so. hell world

Frankenstein (2025)
i liked it very much, i didn't mind at all the changes that GDT made. the only minus was that this movie wasn't in the cinema (at least in my country). also very annoying, all the time i had a voice in my head telling me that it was the same actor who plays nate jacobs. wow.

meh… i swear to god, i don't know where they got the idea that dracula was in love with mina. bestie, the only reason he wanted to turn her into a vampire was because he was jealous of jonathan. the accent was good, i would have no idea the guy is from texas. the only fun was maria.

They also have three physical graphic novels that have been published, all of which are stunning. They do have some gore and occassional nudity, so just be aware of that if that's something that bothers you. Also, until recently they published under the name Emily Carroll, and some prominent websites such as Goodreads still use that, so if you see that name you've found the right person.
