FINALLY after months and months and months landlocked in the Lomonds I got down to the coast last weekend. On Friday, the Tay. Saturday, the Forth. Two very different but glorious sides of Fife :) So nice to get some pungent seaweedy air again after all this time.

Today was even more horribly hot than yesterday so this time I fled to Earlsferry beach, where it was a full 5C cooler than a few miles inland, with a lovely cooling breeze. Took the opportunity to do a bit of writing while I was there :)

A vaguely summery looking Earlsferry beach this afternoon. It was nudging 15C on the Fife coast today but I assure you it didn't feel like 15C in that wind!

Love of the links at The Golf House Club, Elie

When I close my eyes and remember Scotland, I see the links of Elie & Earlsferry. It's one of those magical places, for me. This is more of a journal entry, or love letter, than a golf course review.

The utter joy of playing golf on the links course of Elie & Earlsferry is matched only by the sublime hospitality awaiting visitors inside the Golf House Club.
