clarity hits hardest here at this open mic, especially hard when it’s a cynicism dressed like courage and realism, snap, snap, snap, but can we split the difference in our rubber band reaction to creative writing electives that teach metaphor and imagery coming out of our ears? I write to bring to life the unlikely, I come to listen for the unreal, and I find a hard line between real and unreal to be just as earsplitting
