yaaaaay Rulan!! will she be the first of them to actually marry the right guy?? I'm so glad she seems to have steered into the best parts of herself, especially now Molan's out of the picture and she can focus on something other than their rivalry.
It's also nice to see Minglan have someone else in her life she can relax with! It's always a relief to see her let her guard down a little and let herself laugh and tease. She's not exactly honest about how smart/scheming she can be and what she's done in the past but she can let glimpses out and is at least letting herself be honest in the moment.

I like that while there are some capital lettered Heroes & Villains in this show, there's mainly a lot of normal people who veer one way or the other but not in a way that flattens their character to one single aspect.
Bad people have something/someone they care about and can even be nice when they need to be, good people are allowed to have been selfish or annoying etcetc in the past but it doesn't mean they can't be good now. Just lots of people acting like people
