So this year I felt I just “had to” do it. There is no way I could go on always seeing both a Passover menu and an Easter menu (at the very high-end grocery stores I seemed to frequent) and NOT just go all out and have a Passover meal. Though I must say from the way I grew up surround by many Jewish friends, I already knew what to have—it was just a question of selecting and buying. So, here it is:
-Tzimmes (Sliced cooked Carrots, sweet potatoes, w/ prunes etc)
I know what you’re thinking—this food has cultural and religious significance what about that? Well I did say grace before I ate and I do understand what it means to those who celebrate every year. I’m thinking this may be the first of many and I’d just get my feet wet. That is all.
PS: No, this wasn’t pescatarian/vegan like I usually eat—but it was awesome.
