“Since when do bunnies lay eggs?”
“Y/N,” Kylian said as he took a seat next to you.
“Yes?” You asked.
“I’ve got a question,” Kylian said. He had been asking you weird questions all day so you weren’t that shocked that he wanted to ask you a question. You were slightly worried about what he wanted to ask you though.
“Go on,” You said, putting down your book that you were currently in the middle of reading. You just knew the questions that Kylian comes up with and asks you and you knew that you would need to be paying full attention to him.
“Since when do bunnies lay eggs?” He asked. You looked at him and raised an eyebrow at him. What kind of question was that? Why would he want to know that? That was a question that you’d thought that you’d never get asked no matter how strange Kylian’s questions can sometimes be.
“What do you mean?” You asked him. You wanted to figure out what he was actually going on about because, to be honest at the moment you were so confused. As far as you were aware bunnies don’t lay eggs and never had so what was he going on about. Where had he gotten the idea that bunny lays eggs? Surely Kylian isn’t that stupid and falls for stupid stuff like that.
“Well the Easter bunny gives out eggs on Easter but bunnies don’t lay eggs so since when do they lay eggs?” He said. You opened your mouth to answer him before closing it quickly not actually knowing what to say. He wasn’t wrong. You’ve always got told that the eggs are ones that the Easter bunny lays but bunnies don’t actually lay eggs so where the hell does the Easter bunny get its eggs from. Kylian has a point here.
“They steal them from chickens,” You said unsurely trying to think of something that makes sense.
“I guess,” Kylian said shrugging his shoulders.
Still curious about the answer you decided to grab your phone and google the answer. It was the only way that you would get a proper answer and you were too curious to leave it. You could feel Kylian looking over your shoulder as you typed so you moved around so he could see properly. You googled ‘how does the easter bunny get eggs’ and the answer that you got was ‘legend sats the Easter Bunny lays, decorates and hides eggs as they are also a symbol of new life.’ Not going to lie that made you even more confused.
“Magic,” is all you said to Kylian who nodded his head in agreement. Magic makes the most sense and it’s going to be the story that you believe. Easter Bunny gets eggs because of magic.

Mixed Up
This had definitely been a bad idea, then again, anytime anyone decided to let Mitsuhide try and cook it never went well. So now you sat and stared at the much too orange pancakes in front of you in bewilderment.
It’s not like they smelled bad, or that they weren’t cooked all the way through. You had just never seen such fluorescent orange pancakes before.
“So uh, Mitsuhide?” You paused waiting for him to look up in your direction. “What uh, what ingredients did you use in these?” you asked trying not to sound as worried as you actually were.
“Normal pancake ingredients.” Mitsuhide lifted his eyebrow and held up the paper recipe he had printed out the day before. “ I just followed the directions, then added a little Easter surprise.”
Your relief at the use of a recipe was completely taken over by your fear of whatever his ‘Easter surprise’ was. You knew these were just a little too festive. “What does that even mean?”
The only answer you got though was a low chuckle in the back of his throat as he set the table and put a stack of three pancakes on everyone’s plates. This had been a bad idea, hadn’t it? Why had talked anyone into this pancake party, specifically one where Mitsuhide was the chef? That screamed terrible idea all around.
Slowly, you began to cut your food, making the squares as tiny as manageable once the butter had finally melted into the fluffy stack on your plate. Most people, namely Masamune, had taken to drowning theirs in syrup, hoping the sweetness and taste of maple would cover up whatever flavor we were about to be assaulted with.
The entire table seemed to share a look, and everyone raised their forks to their mouths together in solidarity. If we were all going to suffer, we would do it together, and suffer we did.
“What the actual hell Mitsuhide?” Masamune sputtered, trying hard not gag on the creation.
Everyone seemed to share in the sentiment, Ieyasu didn’t even try to hide that he spit the food back into his napkin, Hideyoshi’s eyes twitched while he tried to finish the piece in his mouth. Nobunaga had taken to drowning whatever flavor this was with his coffee. I was chewing as slow as humanly possible, it wasn’t the best flavor, but you shuddered, you could only imagine what the experience was like with syrup.
It took you a minute, but you finally swallowed whatever that was, giving a nervous smile as you pushed the plate further away from you. That’s when you noticed Mitsunari, his eyes were blown out and he had utterly stopped chewing.
“Do these have carrots in them?” he emphasized, mouth still full of food.
There was a moment of silence before the entire room erupted. Each one of your friends shoving their chairs out from behind them as they stood and closed in on Mitsuhide. You remained seated, wondering what they were even going to do. It’s not like they could force feed him his own horrible concoction, Mitsuhide couldn’t taste it anyway!
There was a crash, a handful of screams, and a cluster of bodies on your kitchen floor. You stared at your friends before falling out of your chair as raucous laughter filled the space. Everyone but Mitsunari sat in a heap covered in carrot pancake mix.
“Oh god, you guys!” You wheezed, hitting your hand against the tile floor.
They grumbled collectively peeling themselves off the ground as the batter dripped off their clothes and splattered onto the ground. That was one heck of a way to start your morning.
“Guess we’re going out for breakfast.” You snickered, grabbing your car keys “I’ll meet you dorks there once you change.”
With a wave of your hand, you stepped out the door and headed towards your car.
