Anlen’s song of the week

다소낮음 by the great Korean band Eastern Sidekick (이스턴사이드킥)!

I got to see them perform live in Seoul in February last year after I’d only ever heard one or two of their songs. They were amazing and the whole atmosphere at the concert (five other bands also performed that night at Rolling Hall) was really great, even the audience was kinda lovely. Needless to say I couldn’t leave Korea without the album The First (2012) - the only full length album Eastern Sidekick had released at that time. On it are some rather calm but also several more upbeat songs like 저기 목마른 개 왔다 간다 (which is another one of my favorites, I almost made it my song of the week before deciding on 다소낮음 to be honest.) Give it a listen!
