Elizabeth Taylor (holding her beloved Maltese dog Sugar) has fun fielding questions from the audience during a promotional appearance for her Black Pearls fragrance at Eaton's department store in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on April 29th, 1996. Arriving late and down to earth as always, Elizabeth greeted the crowd (the largest that gathered on her North American tour) by saying: "Hi! So nice to see all of you. I'm sorry we're late, but Sugar and I have the same disease, and this morning her face was covered in Kaopectate [liquid diarrhea medication, at the time tinted pink] and I had to give her face a shampoo for the reason I had to give her bottom a shampoo!"
