Think Before you Eat!
Easy ways to become a more ethical eater: 1) Eat less meat 2) Be aware of where your food comes from 3) Compost! 4) Grow your own veggies 5) Eat less processed food, and more whole foods 6) Waste not, want not 7) Cook more meals at home, it's nice to know what's in your food! 8) Read food lables 9) Avoid inhumane foods 10) Support your local farmer and farmers market 11) Buy free range eggs 12) Avoid GMOs and hormones 13) Don't be as superficial about produce, it will still taste the same with a nick in it, and a single bananas deserve love just as much as a bunch 🍌🍌🍌 13) Know which veggies are most important to buy organic! Here's a list to get you started. Best to buy organic: Grapes, spinach, lettuce, cucumber, strawberries, blueberries, potatoes, peaches, nectarines, apples, celery and bell peppers. Lowest in pesticides when bought non-organic: Onions, corn, watermelon, eggplant, kiwi, cabbage, avocado, grapefruit, pineapple, cantaloupe, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, and frozen peas.
