Selene is usually a pretty neat person, or so she believes. Sometimes, she procrastinates or gets too lazy to clean up any of the messes that she makes. It’s rare, but it does happen. Selene is part human, after all. It’s almost always too much of a bother to get up and clear the pathway. She has long since learned to just step around it and avoid the problem at hand, an excellent tactic that she has become an expert at.
She just never accounted for the fact that her messes were sometimes in the hallways, and sometimes, she forgot about them.
It’s inevitable, really. Sooner or later, she would’ve tripped. Call it karma, but the heavens just decided that today was the perfect day for it to happen to Selene Schnee.
She’s kind of thrown her backpack in the middle of the hallway (which isn’t very crowded) and laid her few textbooks next to it. There’s also a gym bag thrown in there somewhere, and somehow, Selene completely forgets that there’s a pile of her stuff right behind her. So, when she turn away from her locker, she manages (somehow, miraculously) to trip right over said pile and almost land on her face.
Her fall forward is graceful (hopefully) at best, and she hopes no one saw her go down. There’s a snicker, and Selene lifts her gaze to find another girl smirking at her. She raises a brow at her, tilting her head to the side. “This is funny to you?” (Though, Selene must admit, it was a little funny.)
In between classes during the passing periods, everyone spent them differently. Some would talk to their significant other or their siblings, some would hurry to class, and some would spend many hours at their lockers doing who know what.
Ophelia found exactly what those unfortunate students did when one almost face slammed into the hallway and her textbooks were her own demise. Seeing the spectacle she couldn’t help but release a small snicker and smirk as the other looked up.
The girl was cute, and she reminded Ophelia of a very clumsy puppy with her head tilted like that. It wasn’t that the girl was funny, it was just the situation. And for once, she was laughing with the girl not at her.
“Halarious actually.” She squatted down and scooped up the books with ease, using her father’s strength. “Since you just entertained me for today, I shall walk you to class.” It was mostly a pleasure to walk the little puppy like girl, but she made everything sound like a trade-off even if she was just being helpful. “By the way, are you alright? I thought I saw you have a ‘life flash before my eyes’ moment back there.”
