A trip to the hospital was not something Georgie had planned to do with her night but she’d fallen and caught herself on her left wrist. It hurt to move it and she was sure it was starting to bruise. The whole incident could’ve been avoided, Georgie knew not to put your hands out when you fall but she’d done it almost on instinct.
An annoyed sigh escaped her as she sat in the ER, swollen wrist wrapped in a melting bag of ice. She could’ve just left it but her friends had insisted she get it checked out. She just hoped her boss didn’t suddenly need her for something tonight.
Her name was called and she followed the nurse back towards the bed. She’d been here for almost 2 hours now but she couldn’t blame them; a potentially broken wrist wasn’t high up on the emergency room injury list, she was sure. With a pout she hoisted herself up onto the bed with her uninjured hand, legs kicking idly over the edge.
