Because of the typhoon I only fell asleep close to 6 so I had a valid excuse to sleep (very) late... which turned fine as there were so many problems with trains until mid afternoon. I think there were some fans who couldn't make it, I feel so sorry☹️

In the end I arrived at the venue at 5, there was no line for goods and I could buy what was planning. After that I went to get some light food and juice.

I had 200s ticket so I came back to the venue at 6. Entering was very smooth, venue staff was calling fans in 5s. When I reached the audience area I chose to stand in the middle (I'm tall in Japan so I wasn't discouraged by some taller guys in that area).

I was worried about all fans not being able to fit, but actually people didn't have that much space between them (but is wasn't really squeezed). But when the band came on stage there was a bit of a push in the middle, which I didn't expect.

The show started with a rock song as an intro, the first to come on stage were the supporting members, Tetsu and Asanao, next aie and Mako last. Each one got enthusiastic welcome from fans!

Their place on stage was: Tetsu on the left (shimote) amd aie on the right (kamite), Asanao in the back and Mako in the front.

Everyone was wearing black. Mako had the light purple short hair style and his iconic make up, he also wore yellow contact lenses. Oh those lenses! He came on stage in a jacket but he had to take it off very soon. aie was wearing a baggy black short and his iconic hat.

Mako: 'Kyodai (deadman fans), welcome!!'

There were so many feels! So many songs that made me surprised and grateful, so grateful. Mako's voice and aie's guitar are truly magical. And with Asanao and Tetsu you could really feel Nagoya-kei tonight.

I was worried, like many other people who were seeing them first time, that it will be hard with some furi (the decided moves during songs like waving in specific times etc). But it was easy to pick up, no idea how it compared to the past, but it felt right😂 and there was way more headbanging than I expected, next time I will be definitely coming with my hair down. And there was dancing! deadman songs really have it all.

aie sometimes came to the edge of the stage, for one song he sat on the speaker and played that way.

Mako kept changing between using a mic stand and holding the microphone (then staff quickly took the stand away or quickly brought it back). He walked around the stage, sat in the front, ended on his knees or laying down, was staring at the audience or staring at nothing.

By the way, Mako's mic stand was kind of finished like a triple candle holder with three microphones, when he switched to holding the mic he removed the middle one.

Arizuka was one of the songs I wanted to hear the most. Mako's mic stand had the caged lightbulb attached to it and he used it to light his face, the sides of audience, he moved to shimote and kamite. When holding the lightbulb to light his face I could see as the song started that there was a bit of (fake) blood coming out of his mouth, later it slightly dripped over his chin.

The song finished with Mako going down on his knees. Lights went out.

When lights came back Mako was standing with a towel for the 'blood'.

MC・Mako: it's hot! Ok, the funeral is over! (and with fans rotfling the serious mood after Arizuka was gone😂).

Huh, I failed with the spit the (fake) blood thing. I remember in the past there was more blood than I got today, sorry (fans laugh again). I'm not good with talks (MCs). It's good to see everyone laughing, so everything's good.

He seems so sweet. Tonight there were so many moments when the mood changed from dark to goofy almost ☺️

When they came back for encore the stage was really dark, with dim green light in the back of the stage and dim red lights on band members. But Mako got 'purple' light, just when he came on stage it turned out to be black light. And what a sight he became. I close my eyes and I can see it so clearly even now, it was truly electrifying.

He used black light paint in pink/red on his face, cheeks down, and palms, even the inside of his mouth - when he was singing his teeth were also glowing. He had blue paint on the top of his hands. And then there were his contact lenses.

HIS CONTACT LENSES WERE GLOWING IN THE BLACK LIGHT.

The whole effect was so alarmingly captivating, I couldn't take my eyes of him.

And 色別の亡い空虚 was a perfection by itself.

They also talked about the merchandise and aie apologized that some items got delayed because of the typhoon. They both joked (?😂) that they were fighting about what to do and apparently as a result Mako ended up covered with 'blood' (the black light paint). aie explained that those items will be available at Shinjuku LOFT in extra quantities (so fans can buy a lot and not worry it will sell out quickly 😂).

aie talked about other shows and commented he's surprised that even though Liquidroom was sold out the 10/16 show isn't (I wish it was on a different day😢 but I will definitely try to go to other shows!). He also told us about the short QUATTRO tour in December (all weekdays).

They continued their 'comedy MC'~

Mako: one of my rings fell and landed in kamite first row, so coud you...

aie (jumps in the line): sell it on mercari?

Mako: ...(laughs and fans join)

aie: nah, I'm sure people will be nice and hand it to the staff.

Mako and aie explained that setlist was mostly prepared by Tetsu.

I think the flow of the setlist was amazing, there were blocks that were changing the mood from lighter to darker to softer to darker and so on. So really well done to Tetsu!

And as the last song they played additional cause of sorrow. Warm light on stage, very warm feelings in my heart.

Mako: We will meet again, 'night!

But he soon came back to throw some chocolate for the fans! And as it turned out some cat snacks as well😂

When he threw all the snacks Mako opened the black fabric bag he used for snacks and put it over his head. And he left dancing, all of that to 'New York, New York' in the background 😂❤

昨夜はGhost Like Girlfriend(以下：GLG)を観に恵比寿リキッドルームまで。直近のライブが2回続けてリキッドだ。
 GLGとは、1994年生まれの岡林健勝によるソロプロジェクト。高校2年より楽曲制作を開始。2013年に大学進学のため上京し、ほぼ同時期にライヴ活動を“岡林健勝”名義でスタート。2017年に“Ghost like girlfriend”名義でのデビュー曲「Fallin'」をApple MusicとSpotifyのみで公開するやいなや、2万再生超を記録して注目される。yotuubeでも200万再生越え。同年に2枚のミニアルバムをリリース。先日6月19日にはニューアルバムをリリースしたばかり。本作には今をときめくミュージシャンが多数参加するなど、その注目度の高さが伺えます。

ライブは20:00オンタイムにスタート。バックバンドのBassはアレンジャーでもある、DadaDのshigeがベース、DrはGreat3の白根賢一、鍵盤はJ-POP界隈のアレンジも数多くやってるトオミヨウ。新人とは思えないほどの豪華な布陣だけあって、バンド見てるだけでも楽しい。白根さんメチャウマ。

レコ発兼キャリア初のリキッドということもあり、相当気合が入っていたのか、代表曲は勿論のことすごい曲数やってた。 GHG名義としては2年だから、パフォーマンスの新人感が拭えないのは仕方ないとしても、バックバンドの上手さで補ってはいたものの、リキッドというハコに完全に負けていた気がする。思いのほかちゃんと歌い上げる曲が多かったけど、地声の高音域がツラそうで出切っていないのも結構あり、ミドル調の歌を聴かせる曲はちょっと不安定な部分も多かったし、うーむとなる事が多かったのは残念。やっぱりリキッドでやるからにはそれ相応のちゃんとした実力が求められるものだ。音源はカッコいいので、これから歌唱力含めスキルを磨けば、もっと良くなっていくと思うので期待。
