The second season premiere of Batwoman aired on January 17, 2021. The 1st season finale was the last episode of the series for Ruby Rose to play Kate Kane/Batwoman. Instead of casting a new actress to play the role, Javicia Leslie played the new role Ryan Wilder, who took over the mantle of Batwoman. The Batmobile made its first appearance in the series. It was meant to appear in the last season, but the season was cut short due to Covid 19. Dougray Scott, who appeared in the episode, was originally cast as Wolverine in X-Men (2000), but had to be replaced at the last moment by Hugh Jackman due to complications from Mission Impossible II.
