Hi!! Was a bit curious about Luce and Lazlo’s relationship in game. I’m going to be honest I only come on tumblr occasionally so sorry if I missed something already covering this topic or based my asks off wrong info.

I’ve seen the mentions with a romanced Lazlo with like incesty undertones being mentioned given he is Luce’s adopted(?) brother. Just had a couple questions in regards to this.

1. From what I’ve gathered, this *freaky* version Lazlo’s romance is going to be a toggle, so does that mean that if it’s toggled off and Luce did accept Lazlo as a sibling, his romance would be blocked? Or would the incest flavor text just not be included?

2. On the flip side with a Luce who rejected Lazlo as their sibling and even hates him, I assume no incesty flavor text would be included, as at the very least Luce doesn’t view him like that. But then again the rest of the world does know them as adoptive siblings (I assume) so would that entail any flavor text in that regard?

I also just had some questions on various topics (go ahead and ignore these if you’d rather not answer). Again, apologies if you already covered these previously.

3. What were Lazlo’s thoughts on trans!Luce as they were growing up? I seem to recall you saying something along the lines of Lazlo essentially falling for Luce at first sight. Just was curious about his perspective on that since current Luce isn’t exactly who he first fell for.

4. In regards to Dante, I believe you mentioned he becomes obsessed with Luce after the kidnapping thing? In the demo there was the whole schtick of him wanting to kiss Luce— did Dante always have a suppressed(?) interest in Luce that really kicked into full gear after the kidnapping? Or was the whole kiss thing really just for shits n giggs and he didn’t really gaf until recently?

5. My guess is no, but did Luce’s father ever know/pick up on Lazlo’s feelings for Luce? When/if he did, would he approve?

6. In an alternate universe where Luce’s brother never died and life was sunshine and rainbows, would Lazlo have ever encountered Luce? It obviously wouldn’t be in the way of canon as Luce’s father has no need for an heir so likely he wouldn’t adopt Lazlo. But would Lazlo have joined Luce’s father’s mafia later? Or maybe even another mafia? If he and Luce somehow did cross paths, would he still have fallen for Luce or was it more of a circumstantial thing?

I’m not sure how you feel about AU asks since I’ve heard differing opinions from writers, but I unfortunately am a huge sucker for them and am constantly thinking about them. Apologies for the rambling, I just wanted to pick your brain and get a deeper understanding of these characters (particularly Lazlo if you couldn’t tell *cough*).

1. It means the incest flavour text won’t be included as much. It doesn’t automatically mean that Luce will accept him as a brother. It just means Luce doesn’t view him as one. The toggle off allows for his romance. Accepting him as a brother would come later on in the story if you’re not romancing him

2. The rest of the world kind of does view them as some sort of relatives. There’s some bias against adoption in Italian mafias especially when Lazlo holds a high position but it is very much “I’m not saying they’re real siblings but they aren’t strangers or friends they’re family.” So really a Luce that doesn’t see him as brother doesn’t have the incest hang up, that’s Lazlo who does

3. So he doesn’t understand and technically it’s… immoral. But he can’t equate sin with Luce no matter what. So he’s learned to think that although he doesn’t get it, God is never wrong and if Luce feels this way then it must be because God willed it. And yes he did fall in love at first sight but even if Luce is another gender, they aren’t less beautiful (lowkey trans people become even hotter when they transition I feel). He also loves their passion for life and just how much brightness they have—things that don’t go away just because someone has transitioned

4. That kiss didn’t mean much to him tbh. He asked a f!luce to kiss him because she’s the closest thing to a girl friend he has. Back then he didn’t talk to much girls so he asks for that kiss to get it over with, with someone he knows to be comfortable

5. He didn’t but Ana the mother did and she told Antonio who was in denial about it. But deep down he knew

6. Lazlo would have never gone to work with Antonio if he had another choice and if Antonio didn’t need him. They would have likely never met. Not only not through the mafia but also they run in different circles. Lazlo doesn’t like the party scene and I think he likely would’ve become a bartender or some blue collar job so they wouldn’t have met in university either.

If they miraculously did cross paths he would find them gorgeous but I don’t think it would’ve gone further

I usually like the idea of AU asks. It’s a fun exercise 😌

Dante has a few flaws, but I think it’s lovely to imagine the sacred bond he would share with an MC partner and their children as a family

Does Lazlo like it when Luce gets jealous? I think he liked it in the backstory where Luce was like 'OH SO THERE IS SOMEONE THAT U LIKE??? GTFO MY ROOM THEN!!!' but I am not sure about the second jealousy scene... He sure disliked that Luce was rude to that maid but I feel like he was secretly thinking "Heheheh so they still get jealous when I talk to a girl"

He disliked it because he doesn’t like staff to be treated badly for something they didn’t do

He also doesn’t like to be accused of something he didn’t do

A little jealously is fine but it goes overboard and luce starts offending people, he doesn’t like it at all

(This is actually one of the first instances you see of what I said was going to happen in chapter 3 — Lazlo has a backbone and will not take horrible treatment by luce)

I've been wondering for a while now: will we be able to have some internalized homophobia for Luce? The story seems ripe for it, and I do love that kind of drama for want of a better word.

So Luce already has some external homophobia (and sexism) due to the time period but internal homophobia would be interesting because Luce doesn’t hate themself they love themself far too much so it would be something for them to feel disgusted by what they want hmmm…
