I won't write it, but seeing the statement "if you and someone else have a crush on the same person, just unionize" has me thinking about an idea i had a while back

where Enj, Courf, R, and Ferre have been best friends for, like, forever. Then, Enjolras and Courfeyrac start dating somewhat out of the blue and Grantaire & Combeferre (who had crushes on each of them, respectively) are like "What the fuck?? what do we do now?"

after a time of wallowing, they decide to be fwb because, hey, maybe it will numb the pain a bit (it doesn't work that well but the sex is nice)

Meanwhile, Enjolras & Courfeyrac, who are both poly, have been sleeping around with some of their other friends/strangers, which also leads Ferre and R to be like "um. why not us????? this is such bs!" but neither of them would actually dare say that to them, so instead they're like "okay we'll just sleep with each other HARDER. fuck those two. "

eventually, Enj and Courf take note of this, and of the sort of strange vibes that permeate their hangouts but they think Combeferre and Grantaire are just dating and being coy about it. So, theyre both like "hey... kinda weird that those two got together... kind of makes us each feel some sort of way... we're both happy for them of course!! super happy. not envious at all ahah. why would we be jealous of them? we're in love with each other. it's not like they we totally wish they were our boyfriends too that would be totally weird. anyway,"

long story short, eventually the 4 of them pull their heads out of there asses and confess they're all in love the lot of them and it's happily ever after :>

Courfeyrac is trans, there’s no transphobia or homophobia though.

Summary: Courfeyrac has just graduated from university, and before he settles down into the nice, safe career his father has chosen for him, he wants to explore the world, see what there is to see, maybe meet some hot guys along the way, you know? He throws a dart and a map and ends up on a trip to a remote Greek island. What will happen along the way?

ECCR wearing each other's clothes?

Enjolras is tiny ok so no one fits his stuff. Courf can wear his tshirts as rly tight almost crop tops but seeing as thats his style anyways he rocks it. R buys him oversized sweaters for the sole purpose of stealing them off him.

Grantaire has a lot of oversized fluffy sweaters that everyone steals. It makes R blushy and happy.

Courf only borrows everyones SNAZZIEST clothing obviously (not counting Combeferres weird substitute teacher sweatervests). Everyone else teeends to give Courfs clothes a miss bc they are usually doused in glitter but when dressing up comes around theyd be IDIOTS to not. Also Courf does have a whole bunch of onesies that Enj likes to steal bc he feels like a lil baby bird in a big fluffy nest.

Combeferre doesn’t steal other people’s clothes as much but doeeees constantly find all his fucking sweaters where have they gone HMMMMMMM WHO KNOWS.

Some ECCR headcanons

Thanks to @probably-pride-related for inspiring my lil shipper heart

- Courf is super bouncy all the time he has so much energy and doesn’t need much sleep so he comes to bed last usually, this ends in grumbling from the rest of them when he literally jumps on the bed. Though he’s always soon absorbed into the cuddle pile.

- Date nights with Joly, Bossuet, and Musichetta always end in a massive tangle of limbs and cricked necks in the morning, Enjolras only grumbles a little bit. He’s happy though, because he’s sandwiched between Courf and Ferre and leaning on R’s stomach and Boss’s legs. 

- Movie nights are the most important event of the month for the four of them, all of them being extremely busy with university. They set aside a day and a night and sit and watch all the movies they want. They bought a sofa big enough for the four of them to cuddle especially for movie night. 

- Enjy and Courf are both poly sci students, Ferre is pre-med, and R double majors in music and fine art, with a minor in dance. So when R moved in to Enjy, Courf, and Ferre apartment he found that they had set aside Courf’s old room for him to have a studio, he cried. 

- Grantaire’s studio has the old sofa in, Enjolras likes to sit on it and write his essays while R either uses the barre or paints. It’s the lightest room in the apartment with two big windows that look out on to a little park with loads of trees. There’s a big fluffy blanket on the sofa, the other two know to always look for R and Enjy in there. 

- R still gets insecure about his place in the relationship every now and then, but the others are quick to squash those fears with cuddles and hot chocolate. (Courf is a serial cuddler, he wraps himself around R like a koala and refuses to let go.)

- Courf is definitely the most tactile of the bunch, he is always touching the others when he’s around them. The others definitely do not mind, especially R who would like to be cuddled the whole time thank you.

- Enjolras tends to stress about school work very easily, Ferre has learned over the years to bring him tea and kisses at regular intervals when they’re both crying about work.  

- Courf and Ferre have both been known to stress bake so during the exam season the house always smells like cookies, cakes, and brownies. The other amis have been know to take advantage over this, but no one loves it more than R. 

- When R has showcases and performances his three boyfriends come to them and sit at the front. Always in awe of their boyfriend as he leaps about the stage, and sings, and plays instruments. 

- Enjolras plays piano to a decent standard and R always chooses him to accompany when he has to sing. For one of his birthdays R bought Enjy an old upright piano from a charity shop, it sits pride of place in Ferre’s old room. The house is always ringing with music (even the terrible pop songs Courf blasts). 

- Courf double minors with musical theatre and history (his degree is a mess but he doesn’t care) he and R like to practice and perform together. (His secret dream is to win a tony). 

- Ferre once mentioned shyly that if he wasn’t pre-med he’d do some form of scriptwriting major. The other’s delighted in this, read one of his scripts and demanded that if his pre-med failed he become the next oscar winning script writer.

C/C/E/R is alive and thriving and i need everyone to listen to me

their bed is just two mattresses pushed together so all of them can fit on it, there’s at least four different comforters bc Enjolras constantly hogs the blanket, someone always ends up naked, the bed never gets made, the whole room is in shambles

Courfeyrac usually wakes up in the crack between the mattresses and just screams until the others pull him out

R isn’t allowed to cook. ever. even if the other three aren’t around to feed them. they aren’t allowed near the stove.

they have one of those chore wheels but it never works bc Ferre and Enjolras just end up doing all the cleaning.

even if there is three other couches open, they all end up on each other in a pile

Ferre is allergic to cats but that doesn’t stop R and Courf from trying to sneak in strays whenever they can

R was shunned to the living room b/c he doesn’t like shakespeare

they watch game of thrones together

they fucking LOVE the get down

Courf gets sick constantly and complains nonstop even if he has the Slightest cold but the other three baby him even though he’s incredibly annoying

they all know each others coffee orders by heart

they have a scheduled movie night at least once a month where they order take out and binge a show (usually friends)

Courf and R Scream musical duets to each other across the house, interrupted by Enjolras’ groans of annoyance

they also duet the troy and gabriella duet from high school musical 2

all 4 of them are Unstoppable on karaoke night

they all love each other so much
