Incidentally, the little house described in the prompt is based on my own little house. The prompt turned out just as fluffy and sweet as I hoped.  I hope you like it.  Let me know what you think!

Prompt #3:  Could you be happy here, with me?

The house was tiny–miniscule, in fact, compared to the other places she’d lived–but Erin loved it the moment she walked in.  The front room was painted a dull off-white and the cream-colored carpet was worn, with a couple of faded stains.  Erin didn’t care.  She was already imagining it painted in bright colors, with some of her art hung on the walls and furniture arranged just so. 

“It’s awfully small,” Nervous said, wringing his hands in that way he had.  “Are you sure there would be enough room?”

“There are three bedrooms,” Erin said.  “We only need one right now.”

Nervous looked at the slight swell of her belly and bit his lip.  “We’ll need two in a few months.”

“Exactly!” Erin chirped.  “So that leaves one room that could be an office if we needed it to be, until we have someone else to go in it. And with this space, we’d have plenty of room for friends to come over.  I bet we could even throw a party!”

Nervous kept twisting his long pale fingers together.  “But what if--”

Erin shook her head.  “No more buts,” she said. “No more what ifs.  This is the right place for us.”

“Are you sure you could be happy here, with me?” he asked.

Erin took his hands, stopping his fidgeting.  She laced her fingers with his and looked up, green eyes meeting brown. “I love you,” she said.  “I am going to marry you.  I am having your child--our child. I would be happy here or in a castle or on the moon, if I was with you.”

There’s 50 chapters in each book. I’ve already begun to organize the plot of Book 3. So Alternate Universe is not ending, just this particular part of the story.

I think I read somewhere that the social bunnies were based off of Donnie Darko, but I might have imagined that entire thing. I can’t remember. So I guess the Darko comparisons were inevitable. From what I do remember of DD, though, my social bunnies and Frank serve entirely different purposes.

What a cute little house! For some reason my starters always end up as one- or two-story homes, I really should add a third level next time.

I had to empty out an apartment building I liked cause it got glitchy :/ it was a small building with no elevator, just stairs, but then they couldn't use the stairs!! Whenever I played Sims on the upper floor I'd have to use cheats to move them up and down the stairs, including dogs going to do their business -_-

UGH it makes me so sad that apartments in TS2 are so glitchy because I really love the concept (especially since I live in one myself!). I love the social aspect of it and how perfect it is for single Sims and couples - but then stuff like this happens and before you know it EVERYONE GETS A HOUSE because I’m fed up. :|

I LOVE it!!!! that little patio deck!!!! It's the perfect place to have friends over for drinks and so quaint aaaaaaahhhhh. I'm in love! I can't blame you for loving it so much too.

I based it off of a floor plan I found and it had that cute little dining patio, and I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to use those awning pieces I’ve had floating around in my DL folder forever. ❤ My Sims seem to like it, too - the NEVER eat in their gorgeous dining room, nooooo. Always outside, no matter what the weather. :P

That always happens. All you have to do is turn on moveobjects and delete them, then they won't reappear. You have to do it when you're playing each playable household in the building. Pain in the ass, but at least it's fixable. :)

Aha! Good to know. :) I was afraid my neighborhood was becoming corrupted or one of my apartment mods was causing this nonsense. I feel much calmer and more prepared for the next time I decide to play an apartment building. ;)

I can say with certainty that he is the best landlord I’ve had in my game! :) For starters, he didn’t hang around sniffing the flowerbeds all day and harass my Sims over the phone constantly. ;) This trash compactor debacle just sealed the deal!

Perfect terrain choice for a postapocalyptic neighborhood! :) I also think your challenge sounds pretty amazing (and daunting). I'm looking forward to it :) I tried the apocalypse challenge years ago and failed tragically due to an unfortunate combination of toddlers and ghosts.

Thank you! I’m usually a big fan of water, so finding a (mostly) dry terrain was a new one for me!

The challenge is definitely... well, challenging. I was expecting the extra people at the beginning would make things easier, but as it turns out keeping one sim juuust happy enough to survive is way easier than keeping 7 of them instead ;D
