Thanks all! :) It actually took much less CC than I thought it would to get that creepy grungy atmosphere, so that was a nice surprise...especially as this is *supposed* to be my low CC game. :P
Tumblr notified me. I was totally caught off guard. So I have nothing prepared besides a sincere thank you. I love our community so much. I am glad we can enjoy it together. I am going to have to make something special for this occasion.
Max is a cutie. Sometimes the game does make pretty sims and pets. While a good percentage of the main families I created, most of Hot Mess’s characters spawned in-game.

Single parenthood is at least a LITTLE easier in this neighborhood, since no one has a job. So, no need to arrange for childcare, at least. But since there’s also no school (yet), that also means the parents can’t get the kids out of their hair for a little while, either.

Heh. I’ve still got some community lots to build, but I’m hoping to start playing the neighborhood in a couple of weeks, if I can discipline myself to get ‘em built. But I think before I build those lots I’m going to get the playables installed and moved in and all that. So pictures of them will probably be the next thing I post regarding that neighborhood.

Yeah, some, but they’re USUALLY not as common as non-dick nerds. :) Of course, I suppose it depends on the type of nerd. Sci-fi nerds are usually pretty inoffensive, and those are the kind I’ve always hung with, but gamer nerds can be real dicks sometimes.

I had a really nice vegan haggis once. I'm not vegan, but I enjoyed it. I bought stuff to make scotch broth, but today and yesterday been too sick to cook. sad times.
Aside from the mashed-up sheep guts, haggis is mostly oatmeal + seasonings, and those are already vegan. (Similar to scrapple, which is mashed-up pig guts + cornmeal and seasonings, fried in patties.) So it’s really just a matter of finding something that can convincingly stand in for the mashed-up sheep guts. Maybe minced seitan? Or maybe even TVP would do.... Time to experiment! :D

Yeah, I hardly ever get those notifications, either. :\ I have to go and look at the posts I replied to...and I rarely remember which ones that was, or even if I do, I don’t want to scroll for an hour to find them. :P Tumblr really needs some better communication tools. But they’re too busy screwing around with color schemes, I guess! :P
ANYWAY! There’s no rush at all. I’d like to makes some Plantsim outfit defaults because I’ve not found ones I really like, and I’d like to not always dress them in regular clothes. But, yeah, no rush at all. :)

Love the monochrome blue and special love for that kinda different painting in the dining room. The garage door would have caught on those flowers all the time
Sometimes monochrome color is fun. Sometimes it makes me want to poke out my eyeballs because sometimes the shades don’t QUITE look right together. :) I kinda liked that dining room, though.

:D That’s Blanca! She’s currently my favorite of the herd. She’s 3. Her mother rejected her when she was a baby, so for a while she lived in the house and we bottle-fed her. So, kinda got attached. The cats would sleep cuddled up with her, once she stopped freaking them out, and it was adorable! She’s going to have her first cria this spring. Hopefully she won’t be like her own mother....

Sorry I’m slow with this. I tried to find some really old pics (you know, those low quality pictures taken with the in-game camera) that matches together, but aside from these in the Sweet Beginnings Tag, no luck.
Here are the pics! Both from the Bellerose legacy. The first one was taken in August 2014. That was when I started this legacy challenge. The founder Rose Bellerose summoned a genius cat who apparently went to college, Rosette (I). The second picture is today’s current legacy situation, with Cécile Bellerose (the 6th gen. heiress) and her familiar feline Rosette VI (picture taken 2 weeks ago).
Not sure if the pics got better through time... At least capturing moments in TS2 is a fun thing to do!
this is my fave hood of yours to admire. like, they're all gorgeous (duh), but something about the greenery around the water and the sprawl of the college and the handful of rundown buildings is just really appealing to me!
Oh, thank you!!! Your neighborhoods are *my* favorite to admire so very high praise!! It’s one of mine, too. There was no grand vision for it and the whole thing was very “make it up as I go along” but I’m so happy with the result.

You can change the age group of clothing in SimPE or the wardrobe wrangler. YAs and adults use the same body shapes.

He is a really sloppy sim, but combined with his bio and how serious he is I kinda see him as a preppy high-achiever. Hippie Guy sounds like a lot of fun though!

He ended up with Jessie in my uberhood - they worked much better than him and Sarah ever have in my game! (I love your take on them though <3)
He does have slightly better chemistry with Jessie in my game, though that’s probably just because she has the massive attraction boost - I swear that thing gives sims insane chemistry with everyone.
I enjoy how differently characters and situations play in different games. The YA sims in particular are such a blank slate, it’s a lot of fun seeing what different people do with them.

The problem is that they're adults, not YAs. I tried moving one into a Strangetown household and aging him down to teen, so I could send him to college to pledge the frat, but the whole neighborhood then went haywire so I had to restore from backup. It might not have been his fault, because it's Original Strangetown and thus borked to heck; but I haven't tried again.
Hmmm, seems risky but my neighbourhood is pretty borked already so eh... what’s adding a streaker to Blossom’s warehouse squat? Hahaha
