Hah! As it happens, I am eating blackberries RIGHT NOW! (They were "Buy 1 pint, get 1 free" at the grocery store, so we got...a lot :) ) And I gotta say, I don't really get the whole zombie thing, but that Newsflesh series sounds like an interesting premise... And yay for Kinsey 5s! :D
Oh, I’m jealous! Blackberries are usually a bit expensive here. I’ve tried growing them (my family already grows raspberries and strawberries in our backyard), but it didn’t work out very well.
Yeah, one of the reasons I like the series as much as I do is that it’s less of a zombie story than a post-zombies political thriller; zombies aren’t the big news anymore. Also the fact that the world/characters are pretty genre-savvy to the traditional zombie stories (I have read too many zombie novels, if it’s not clear).
They’re not, like, the most amazing literature ever, but it did say ‘favorite’ series and not ‘objectively best’ series. :)

Oh, yes, Butler, without a doubt, was one of the genre’s most talented authors ever. Xenogenesis is one of the very few books I have both a physical copy of and a copy on my Kindle. I’m overdue for a reread of it, as soon as I finish slogging through Kushiel’s Dart.

Eew on the four years of same trouser wearing.. although I should talk.. my sims usually wear the same thing all the time. I excuse it by imagining they have multiples of their outfits. I myself will buy 4 or 5 of the same pants or shirt if it's really something I like.
Well, presumably they’ve been washed at some point. I do have CC washing machines! Three probably does have four pairs of identical trousers--he seems like that type of sim. :P Anyway, I shouldn’t talk either, I wear identical pairs of black jeans all week, every week.

Most of the mascots are really attractive under their ridiculous outfits, though. At least, mine seem to be. It's almost like a law or something.
Most of my default faces are Pooklet’s, so I’m sure he looks amazing under the llama head, it was just kind of hard to carry on Irene’s date when he had to stop and start cheering every five seconds. >_< Hopefully Irene’s still interested in him after graduating, because now I really do want to see what’s under that llama head.

It wasn’t Checo, although I’d like to get him abducted at some point too. We’ll see what’s in his random generator this round.
I think the house in the background there was actually Malcolm’s house (although he wasn’t the lucky abductee either; that could be fun), but that wouldn’t have given you much of a clue. The Delarosa, Tinker, Ramirez, and Larson houses are all across the street from the Manor, although you’d have a time seeing it from the Larson house.

Death by fright is probably my fav from sims 2. I also pronounce it aLIVE mode, the other way sounds weird to me!
Its so cool, right? I like that it has its own animation with the sims checking their pulse. After old age, this tends to be the most common type of death in my game, haha. Burning never happens with fire alarms, drowning never happens unless you set it up on purpose, and my sims get electrocuted constantly but never seem to die from it.

Neat! I like the holes in the floor and the hovering table. The LiveJournal was possibly Penny-Sims? Selenaq linked it recently with a decorated tree.
That’s the one! I spent hours looking through her stuff, it was so inspiring :D (and thank you. I wasn’t sure about the holes in the floor since they don’t really look natural, but I like em, too.)

You don’t have to tell me twice! I adore pirate history and think it’s super relevant, which may be why my sims ended up talking about it in the first place. Zoe seems like a more modern-history kinda gal to me.

True!! They’re not really “enemies” as such but the bands have a certain university-based rivalry going on. It’s pretty playful though, they’re all on good terms really.

I think I read somewhere that the social bunnies were based off of Donnie Darko, but I might have imagined that entire thing. I can’t remember. So I guess the Darko comparisons were inevitable. From what I do remember of DD, though, my social bunnies and Frank serve entirely different purposes.

I think herding cats is easier XD. Seriously though I use these to stop them from walking off, various poseboxes to pose them, and the Freezer clock so they won’t lose their pose. Then I take autonomy off and maxmotives the heck out of them!
