Holy shit what a gig, just chilling with the Echo Raptors after was class, Met them at voodoo last year too, couldn't be nicer guys, Drummer is a legend, Inspired the drums for our song "The only sea for miles and miles..." that night.
I have this early hurray. So my boyfriend's band Echo Raptors released an EP "She's So Free" which is out on iTunes and everyone should buy it because its amazing. For persuasion here is Echo Raptors being generally adorable in a behind the scenes thing for the video for one of the songs off the EP. I am not at all biased but they are an excellent band and part of a body of evidence that proves Northern Irish music is great and fun and not just Gary Lightbody whingeing like a dick about everything.

A random band called 'Echo Raptors' sent me a friend request on Facebook. I've never heard of them or their music, so I'm going to decline the friend request and go with the assumption that I won't like them.
echo raptors with their belfast-smick/cockney raggamuffin charm.
Echo Raptors are a 4 piece Rock 'n' Stroll band from Belfast. Formed in late 2009 by 4 lovers of 60's garage and 90's brit poppy greatness.Their first EP Wasteland recieved regular airplay on BBC's ATl radio show and 2 of the tracks (Sinking in the Shadows and Talking Machine) reached number 1 in the NI chart. The title track wasteland has also been used in an online commercial for Kopparberg Cider. The band have been working hard at developing huge reverb drenched stadium sounds that have been compared to the likes of Oasis and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Gigs this year have included a support slot with Ocean Colour Scene's Steve Craddock and a headlining slot at the Liverpool Sound City festival. The bands latest single 'Plastic people' and B side 'Bite the Wire' have been receiving rave reviews on several blog sites across the web. "Those who scoff at Viva Brother being compared to Oasis will almost certainly prefer this band, as they are certainly more rock 'n' roll than the Slough four-piece. This band deserves to be big."
