The fact that Harper and Echo would have/could have become such good/close friends (or even more than that), though.

Like, I know it sounds unlikely at first, given how their characters can be polar opposites at times, but then again it's what would make this friendship work. That and the fact that they have both been through the horrors of Mount Weather and could bond over that shared experience, plus they spent several years being stuck in space together.

In some ways, they could understand each other like no one else could, and while Harper would remind Echo that it's okay to be soft, it's okay to be vulnerable, and okay to show feelings, Echo would never treat Harper like she was weak or broken, so they would really complement each other in that department as well and I'm just really upset/sad we never got to see that relationship develop throughout all those years, okay

  Harper shuts off the radio and leans back in the driver’s seat, taking her hands off the wheel and rubbing her temples. Traffic is worse than normal today, meaning she’s gonna be late. She’s already 45 minutes late getting back from lunch, meaning that Roan will probably call her into his office. That’s the last thing she needs today.

  Harper nearly jumps out of her skin when the passenger door opens and a tall, brunette woman vaults into the car.

  “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU D--”

  “Drive,” the woman says, voice barely above a whisper.
